Amazing. Can't say anything else. Expect an expert coffee loving barista to serve you the best coffee you will ever have!!! I only drink decaf and never have much expectations for them but this decaf was so good! Coffee is reasonably priced and all coffee beans are freshly roasted. He let us try his hot chocolate as well which was phenomenal. Definitely recommend!!
Best coffee in Ottawa! I was visiting from Calgary for a wedding and glad I randomly walked by Opulence! JP is amazing! Super knowledgeable about coffee with interesting life stories. Loved the customers coming in who are regulars and who shared tips for sights and places to visit and eat at. Loved the vibe of the place and the coffee was delicious so I kept coming back everyday of my stay in Ottawa. Don't miss out! Thanks again JP!
Fantastic experience and the best coffee I've ever had. The owner is friendly and incredibly knowledgeable and made our experience warm and welcoming. Didn't hurt that the coffee, espresso and hot chocolate was all out of this world good. Had to order a bag to go so I could enjoy for the next 2 weeks. Thank you so much JP! I love fresh strong but not bitter coffee. It’s harder to find that one would think. But I found it at Opulence Cafe. I make certain that I have the espresso blend at both my house and cottage. Worth ordering if cannot get there and I always travel with it. JP and his staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. A must stop for serious coffee lovers.
This is my official coffee supplier. Every time I go to Ottawa for business, from Toronto, I make a special trip to Opulence. The owner is knowledgeable regarding all things coffee: beans, grind, machines...everything. My personal favourite is the Peruvian dark roast. I simply informed J-P of my preferences, and he was able to match my tastes to one of his blends. Keep up the great work!
Stopped by for a coffee and loved my flat white. Great service from Ben the Barista. He showed me the new Christmas gift basket and gave me more info on the different roasts, made in house! Definitely recommend for a delicious coffee, feels good to support a local business.
Came across this coffee shop on Google maps randomly and I am so happy I decided to check it out. The owner was super friendly and welcoming. He was clearly very passionate about coffee without being snobby or pretentious. I ordered an oat milk latte and it was delicious. The freshly ground cinnamon was a plus! Will definitely visit again whenever I'm back in the city :
You can’t give this place anything less than 5*. The guy running it clearly loves coffee. Loves roasting it. Loves running a coffee shop. From the look of the place I expected smack-in-your-face dark roast but instead I got a beautifully balanced espresso. It’s not your trendy, fruity, tasting note toting roast, but it was delicious!!
Great coffee and great service. The owner was super friendly and knowledgeable and the espresso was perfectly roasted in my not so humble opinion. Always love discovering spots like this when exploring a new city. As an added bonus - the spot was dog friendly and our pup gives the treats two paws up as well.
I stopped by after seeing the great reviews and I was not disappointed. The owner JP is a wonderful character with a great story and a true passion for coffee. I had a double long espresso and it was great. Only one coffee is available on site: an interesting blend of dark and medium roasts. It was a nice balance of fruity and woody/spicy.
