I was fortunate enough to find OHC many years ago when I had CFS - doctors and others had no idea, which was a pretty scary place to be in at the time. I joined OHC, it was comforting to know many of their consultants have been through the same and recovered - they were imperative in my recovery. It took a couple of years but since I have been scaling mountains once again and am off to the Alps this year! Will always be so grateful I found these guys. Alex is also always such a humble guy and genuinely cares about people.

Having suffered from Chronic/post Viral fatigue for 2 years I was in a big hole and didn't know how to get out of it. The OHC gave me the guidance and expertise that I required to get out of the state I was in. 18 months later and I am much improved, feel more normal and are doing things I haven't been able to do for 3 and a half years. I'm not 100% yet but I am confident I will be!

My teenage daughter has been suffering from ME/CFS for 3 years, since she turned 17. We had got absolutely no treatment from the NHS and turned to OHC by a chance mention from another ME sufferer. She initially undertook the 12 week psychology-based course which she reported was very helpful and has given her techniques to manage her condition going forward. However it was the nutrition service, delivered by the incredible Kerry Munson, which has really turned her health around. With some simple tweaks to her diet and supplementation she started to improve after a short period, and has shown consistent improvement ever since. We have just had the 5th appointment and she has gone from bedbound to Greek island hopping, having the fun any normal teenager would have, and is looking forward to starting university next month. I cannot recommend OHC highly enough and am so grateful for all the help and support.

Ive had chronic fatigue for 14 years. I was recommended ohc by a therapist friend so i started working with them. They referred me to a naturopath who was very kind but utterly useless and v experience. I was just told to take supplements which did absolutely nothing. The whole experience was v expensive and a complete waste of time.

I am really happy with the help the OHC have given me for my M.E. It has been the most helpful thing I have done to treat my M.E. I held off for a while because of the cost M.E does impact massively on being able to work and as a result on income levels, however they were understanding about spacing out appointments to make it affordable and other helpful ways to make it more affordable. The psychological support was excellent and incredibly helpful and following that I have been seeing a nutritionist with the OHC who has been super helpful and has enabled me to make really positive changes to my nutrition. The Optimum Health Clinic have been on my radar for years and it was purely the cost aspect that meant I wasn't able to access their services. After years of my own personal research I felt I got to a stage in my recovery myself where I now needed help with digging a bit deeper, getting some tests done to get to the root causes and having the expert knowledge around supplements. I took the plunge and so far I've been really pleased with the results. I am seeing one of their brilliant nutritionists and all the interventions we are trying are having positive effects so far. It is such a relief to be able to put my trust in someone and not have to expend my precious mental energy with researching myself. Such a weight off my mind. Sure, you have to be committed to your recovery and put in the hard work of implementing any dietary and lifestyle changes, this does take some planning but once you get into a routine with it, it becomes second nature. I'm excited to see how my journey continues and with the help of the OHC I hope I can come along even further in my recovery.

I highly recommend The Optimum Health Clinic. I have been working with them for a year and a half. The level of care, support and guidance they offer is outstanding. I am confident in my recovery - I know I will recover - and that is thanks to the brilliant practitioners who work there. Each appointment I leave knowing the next few steps I need to take to take me one step closer to full health. The tools and resources that the clinic provide have also been incredibly helpful. The OHC saved my health mentally and physically and I’ll be forever grateful to them - especially Sara and Marie. I was 24 2017 when I became seriously unwell. I had multiple appointments with different GP’s and even a neurologist who all said nothing was wrong with me - I literally felt like I was going crazy. Finally after about 8 months of pain which I now realise was fibromyalgia and fatigue and many other symptoms like head-dog I randomly all of a sudden felt like myself again and thought it was just a random blip in my life - wrong. 2-3 months later I had a severe crash and after seeing a holistic GP and acupuncturist I finally found that I had CFS. That’s when I found the OHC. Without them I wouldn’t have known what to do or how to make it better as sadly the NHS still do not recognise CFS/ME as a real illness. Marie got me in the right head space to start to be able to heal on the psychology team and then a couple of months later I started working with Sara in the nutrition team to really start to change my lifestyle whilst still putting into practise the headspace techniques I had learnt. It was a long journey but after about a year I really started to improve and the crashes finally became less and less with longer gaps in-between until finally 3 years later I no longer have crashes and for the most part have healed from having chronic fatigue and it’s array of symptoms. I still have some weaknesses but nothing that I can’t manage and if I keep working at it then maybe one day they will lesson even more too. I am forever grateful and I hope if anyone young who has CFS comes across my message and reads it, I want to let you know there is hope!!! When I found out I had CFS I didn’t see many reviews/testimonials from young people, but there are young people who sadly do get this illness and I want you to know that you CAN recover from it, it’s just a journey that you have to work at.

I had been recommended this clinic by a friend who had had chronic fatigue. My 14 year old son was very ill and so I was very hopeful. Despite promising literature the reality was very disappointing. We received no psychological help owing to my son's age and so the only help we received was a referral to a nutrionist, who was expensive and not very supportive. This referral just led to more costly assessments. In the end we found the Bodymind Programme and I would recommend that to anyone whose child is unwell with Chronic Fatigue/ME. Don't waste your time with the OHC.
