Dr. Michael Jacoby, MD

I’ve seen Jacoby for over 10 years been through all the meds for my migraines. He doesn’t remember what he’s had me on wants to just keep pushing meds on me and doesn’t want to hear any other symptoms I’m having. This could be more than just chronic migraines!!!!

I'm sure Jacoby is fine at what he does when he's available. Unfortunately, for my father, he has no time for him. I drove an hour south to pick him up from the specialty care facility he's staying at and an hour back earlier this month. Imagine my frustration when we check in and they tell us there's nobody to see him now because the doctor left. The appointment was confirmed that morning but he obviously had better things to do. Knowing that we still needed his help, I kept my cool and rescheduled for this Thursday. My wife an I both have time approved off from work so we don't disrupt the kid's virtual learning schedules. Then I get a call saying they have to move it an ENTIRE MONTH out because Dr. Jacoby has "prior engagements." So do we...it was an appointment with you! Because you don't have time for us, we no longer have time for you.

Fabulous doctor with an incredible bedside manner. He’s very down to earth and easy to talk to. Also very accommodating as is his staff—I was late getting my father to his appointment due to some nav app issues and he got us in within 20 minutes when other doctors probably would have had us re-schedule. Highly recommend—his care for my father has been tremendous.

I have been seeing Dr. Jacoby for 5-6 years. He still has no idea who I am, mispronounces my name, including my last name every time. Asks a question, but doesn't wait for an answer, just answers it himself-which is an interesting approach to finding out about a patient's symptoms, medication usage, and experience. He should just practice "virtually" no need for the patient to be present. If you do manage to answer the question before him he doesn't believe you. He doesn't accept any opinion, or treatment decision of other healthcare providers whether it is your primary care provider who actually does know and listen to you or neurologists at Mayo Clinic. He is your classic pompous, egocentric god complex neurologist born 50 years to late to be relevant in healthcare. I am looking for recommendations for a new provider. Any suggestions?

I was honestly apprehensive about this appointment because the ratings were not great for the Ruan Neurology Clinic. I am thankful I chose to go to this appointment. Dr. Jacoby and his entire staff were very nice and professional.

Dr. Jacoby is a personable and knowledgeable professional.
