Once Upon A Child

Once again I am disappointed with this store. My daughter was so excited to go sell some of her Monster High dolls after I finished work this evening and use the money to buy something at Value Village. Despite me warning her that they never offer you what your items are worth, as they need to make their own profit; she still wanted to try. I am trying to encourage her to become more confident in dealing with sales clerks, so I encouraged her to go up to the counter on her own. She was extremely nervous but she did it. The response she received was a short “We are not buying anymore items today; come back tomorrow, earlier rather than later.” It was around 6pm at this point, they weren’t closing for another 2 hours and it probably would have taken the teller 5-min out of her day to look at the dolls and let my daughter know if she could get anything for them. Instead she left almost in tears and feeling discouraged. We live a half hour away and I work until 5pm, so coming back earlier in the day was not an option. I told her that I would buy her something at Value Village and she can sell her dolls online where she is probably more likely to get what they are worth without Once Upon A Child taking their 75%+ cut! Do not sell any items to this store and I would suggest not buying from them either as they probably ripped some one off to get the items you are buying. Go around the corner to Value Village or Salvation Army where at least some of the profits go to charity and you will receive much friendlier service!

I love this place. I blast thrift shop and sing it with my 2 year old when get close. Huge selection from newborn to I don't know like 10 years old. Clothes and toys but, mostly clothes. I wear your grandads clothes, I look incredible.... Lol

Great selection but still a little expensive for used clothing. But i love the stamp program. Fill your card and get 20% off! Makes a huge diffrence when i spend $200 and leave with 10 out fits each for my 3 children. I would recommend this store to anyone and everyone and the staff is super awesome!

Great selection of clothing. Just not a very accessible location for strollers. All clothing is downstairs with no ramp of elevator to get downstairs. Staff is very helpful though and helped get my friend and I down with our strollers.
