Went for the crab boil and Friday night specials. The crab boil was good and had a nice variety of crab legs, half a corn on the cob, some mussels, and sausage along with a melted butter dip. For $30 it was filling but not but the greatest bang for you buck. Extra Legs were another $25 which was little much for a “deal night”. Appies were tasty! One downside to the whole experience was our waiterNicole, I’ve gotten bad service before but have never been actually mistreated. Embarrassing for her to have thrown a mini tantrum at our table after we paidinvolved collecting dishes so they clattered loudly and threw a napkin into a bowl so roughly it bounced out and almost fell on me… also no bid farewell at all after we paid and left. It was my first time here too, I’ll give it another go but hopefully with a waiter that makes it a good experience. Edit May: came back for the Friday deal and everything was pretty good. Most impressed with the waitress I had this time, I forgot her name since it was a little while ago but she was sooo sweet and we managed to have her rig before her shift ended! Edit Dec 2022: Booked a crab feast and was seated at a table that was a little too small to fit everything on it, but there was a ledge beside us so I just put my water and phone there. Service was pleasant but a little slow which is totally understandable with it being Friday night. Crab boil was not much of “deal” but enjoyable. Appies were a good deal but I noticed the portions were smaller especially the calamari. A bed of greens was under the calamari to masks it look like a pile of calamari when there were only a few pieces on the outer surface. Experience was so-so but the Friday deal was good so I’ll keep coming back for that! Also changing this from 2 to 3 stars :
BRUNCH REVIEW: The weekend brunch was delish! Ordered the eggs Benny that was on a toasted butter croissant with perfectly poached eggs, Canadian bacon and hollandaise. I think the potato wedges were homemade. We were so impressed with the price, service and food.Food: 5/5
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! The manager kept hovering around our table the whole time we were there, not sure if it was because we are visibly indigenous. Once we were done our food the waiter not our waiter cleared our table. We ask for a to go box, paid for our drinks and food then walked out. As we were about to get into our vehicle to leave, the manager and bouncer walked up to us and asked if we stole a plate? Mind you the plate was massive, it would NOT have fit in the bag they gave us. The waiting staff are nice but that was totally uncalled for. Also, what establishment allows more people than available tables? This was around 7 PM on a Friday night, so there’s no music or live band. We could not find a spot, literally all the tables were “reserved.”
I like going to OTR for a night out or karaoke. Today was the first time I ever did lunch. It’ll be the last. I had a beef dip with fries and it was probably the oiliest food I’ve ever eaten. I squeezed my sandwich just to get rid of the fats. The fries were about two minutes underdone. All in all, I’m glad I waited this long to eat the food. I’ll stick to Salsa Nights.
I haven’t been here since my partying days. Went for dinner tonight and the service was great. Food was good as well. I got a beyond burger and my friends had the wings, which they said were very good. Lots of sauces and dry rubs to choose from. Good deal on Big Rock beer. When I used to go out it was a cool place to go on the weekends I remember. Live music, dj’s, lots of dancing, everyone is having fun.
Can be a little crammed getting around the bar with its busy, but overall great place to enjoy some live music and some friendly staff. Good place for all age ranges, didn't make me feel like I was the oldest person there lol.Food: 4/5
An Edmonton staple. Really good food. Always interesting people to see. Bartenders & staff are professionals. They'll keep your glass full & a smile on your face.
Excellent crab feature the last Friday of the month. Great service and fantastic food. Always a great time and great value for lunch specials for the gang at work.
This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly Abby. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is amazing Jerk chicken club and some twists, and for their prices it’s 100% worth it. Abby bought us a round of shots after an oilers win! Definitely coming back!
Great place to come for weds wings as they do $0.40ea wings... Better than a lot of other places around town. Service was pretty quick even though you sat yourself. Friendly staff as well. Parking is a bit tough, but if you're lucky you can get a free spot, otherwise there's pay parking until 6 along the street.
