Best chicken Mandi you will ever eat. So delicious and yummy and soft. A must try if you are a chicken lover. To me it's the best food I had in Waterloo. Everyone in my family loved it, even my 2 years old daughter finished a drumstick without forcing her to eat!!
Best chicken and lamb mandi, hands down. We took the mixed platter and it was good enough for four people. A very friendly owner and a good looking restaurant.
Best lamb and chicken mandi. Very tender, juicy and flavorful. We have been here for at least 5 times already. Please keep the good quality as long as you can, and we will keep returning. One suggestion, the lamb we ordered 1/4 lamb mandi was a bit too fatty. Please choose meat that has less fat next time. I prefer 30 to 40% fat.
We tried Yemen food for first time. Ordered Lamb Mandi and Mutabq Malh. We loved the Mandi, mutton was tender and rice were full of flavour. 10/10 The mutabq malh was not our taste. 6/10 We will surely visit on coal again Guy on the other side of counter was really generous ! Overall it was a good experience!
One of the best Yemeni restaurants I've been to in Ontario! Their chicken and lamb was so tender and juicy. Their rice were so flavourful. Reminded me of my childhood. Their hospitality is absolutely amazing - they even gave us complimentary tea. Definitely coming back!
One of the authentic authentic Yemeni restaurant that I have visited, the quality of food is superb portion of it was great If you are looking for real taste of Yemeni food you will look no where else. I have lived in Yemen for many years and this place is the best representative of Yemeni cuisine
Best Mandi and Shawaya place in town. We are a regular here and they never let us down in terms of quality and taste. This is the real deal! Same as what we get in the middle east. I haven't been to Yemen, but it is the same Mandi you get in Saudi Arabia. They also have a floor seating area that we and our kids love. Halal. Amazing and delicious Resturant. I had a trip to Waterloo and I decided to try its Restaurants for lunch, I remembered a friend who told me about On Coal restaurant and i went and visited it and frankly it was delicious amazing yammi tasty and all names you want to call it. I really enjoyed the food and 100% I’ll visit it again with my family or friends
As im a huge fan of mandhi . I was looking for a good spot to have mandhi , do finally i came to know about this place . Food was good . Thing i didnte like was the waiting time . Otherwise its a good resturant .Food: 4/5
I had good experience with the food numerous time before and would give 4-5 stars no problem, but for some reason there are always some minor things go wrong occasionally possibly due to language barrier. Today I ordered “Kobab with fries and bread” with rice replacing the bread, which was confirmed on the phone. When I picked it up they were charging extra. When I told the cashier to I ordered only one dish with a side replaced from bread to rice they took the order over and said it is fixed. But when I return home the order was kobab with fries and very thin bread with NO RICE!! Seriously I know the customer service is not its forte, but the poor communication and lack of service is just too bad
