Olswanger Justin DO

Last summer I had come back to Walla Walla, for mental health support and to get myself back on my feet. Olswanger was my primary care physician at the time and I thought would help me get all my out patient need so that I wouldn't go to the emergency room. It took week to get in touch with him after he gave me the wrong medication for my mental illness. he told us that he would call us and leave us with a psychiatrist to focus more on medication management but, he never did. the medication at the time was cause so many physical and mental issues that I had a psychotic break twice. One thing to another, ignoring patience because you made a mistake is Maltreatment. This man is not equipped with any mental health training at all. Don't prescribe medication to individuals that you ignore.

I don’t want to put this off another day! Dr. Olswanger is simply one of the best human beings on the planet! He is so kind, thoughtful, gentle, and so mindful! I’m 61 and he is the FIRST doctor I’ve had that actually let’s me be a part of the decision making…even when I’m wrong! But I’m also independent and have lost that independence before over medical mismanagement elsewhere, but this man is truly a great soul. I also want to say that I read a review where someone hated him for telling them to lose weight…guess what?! If he told you to lose weight…you most definitely needed to! He wouldn’t have said it if it wasn’t true, and maybe be responsible for yourself and what you CAN FIX and fix it rather than being upset because he cared enough to tell you the truth! So, If you are a kind and decent human being who takes responsibility for their own health issues, you will NEVER find another provider that even comes close to such an honest and decent man! I kind of hate to tell everybody but he deserves the recognition! Thanks Doctor!

One of the best. I looked hard for 4 years for a great PCP provider in Walla Walla as I was from the Seattle side of the state with Providence for 20 years with Boeing insurance. Fortunately, I had some inside privy as my best friend is in the profession himself, and as such, Dr. Olswanger's name kept coming up as a personable, detail oriented, patient, knowledgeable Dr. with a superb skill set. He is my permanent PCP. The ONLY Dr. I have outside of Providence St Mary's Hospital.

I'm Fat. It's a horrid word for sick. Surgery left me 30lbs overweight because no one discussed the weight I would gain so fast after my kind of surgery. I got fatter because the pills I was given for another issue put 3-4 lbs on me every 10 days or so. 50lbs later I try a new Dr. --> that would be Dr. OLSWANGER. After transfering my files, he calls me FAT. Your just plain over weight. FAT with a look of disgust and disbelief, all the while my company who came with me to my visit, unintroduced - is a Dr. himself. He is mortified just as I. Being grossly overweight is not just from stuffing your piehole with cookies and pork rinds. I was an athlete and weight lifter for 20yrs. I now have blood in my urine. Swelling in my feet and all the extra goody's that go along with a seriuos illness. I already have a heart condition. I'm in the ER 2x a month. So..thanks Dr. O for being upset with me when I was 10 minutes late for my appt. one vist, because I can't drive and my ABD helper was late... but waiting 25 minutes in your office on norm and your 20 minute appts. that your usually late for leave ME with 10 minutes and actually, NO health care. FAT. No kidding. I own more than one full leangth mirror. I know there is an endless supply of problems coming through your door for job security, but maybe you should DO your job. Health care is changing in Walla Walla - FAST. I know, Im involved. What I need is health CARE. I'm SICK.... NOT FAT. See yah later Dr. O. I'm shopping for a Primary Care Provider, NOT a guy who will call me fat and not discuss whats happened to me or what to do and who to see about it.
