We decided to pop into this place on our way up to Prince George, as they had good reviews online. We stopped during lunch and actually wondered if they would be open as it was a bar. They have a big space inside with two levels, but the decor was quite dark so it felt cozy. They also have a big bar seating, pool table, TV with sports, and a fire place. I can see it’ll be a great place to hang out after work for the locals. Accompanying their big space, they also have a big menu. We ordered the Teriyaki Salmon salad with a side of sauté prawns as well as the Santa Fe salad. The salmon was okay, slightly leaning towards the over cooked side. The teriyaki sauce could use a bit more soy sauce and sugar, as it tasted a bit bland. The Santa Fe salad was done really well though, could taste all the spices. Service and food was overall on the slow side. We felt a bit ignored at times but our waitress was really friendly and funny. She did apologize at the end and said they’ve been having hard time finding enough staff during COVID, which we can totally understand.
Good food, friendly service. We went on a Monday night so pretty quiet, but seems like a good place to head to for big sport events!
Good food and drinks. The ambience and vibes are amazing. The serving size is very generous. Recommend this place. Their fries are super fresh as they're home cut and not frozen.
Waited over an hour for our food. My meal came out cold. The steak was cooked perfectly except was very bland and tasted more like my wife's seafood than steak. The fries were overcooked and very oily. The vegetables were good. Of a table of 8, only 3 people finished their meals. Was seated next to the back entrance and every time the door was opened we all were very cold. That door should be closed in the winter and use the main door. Outside of winter months, it probably isn't a problem. A week earlier we were in and had wings that were greasy and overcooked. Not sure we will return, which is a disappointment as this used to be a great place to go with our large group
- [x] On May 19th, along with my wife, I stopped at the Oliver Street Bar and Grill in William’s Lake, BC for a beer and a meal. I had a pork schnitzel and my wife a French onion soup. I am used to a large portion when I order a schnitzel but on this night a smaller meal was perfect. The beer of course is always good. The French onion soup was reasonable.
On a recent road trip with my father last week, we stopped in to Williams Lake and visited family friends. On Thursday night we decided to go check out Oliver Street Bar & Grill for the first time. When we first arrived we were immediately greeted by who would be come our server for the night Karen. The Bar & Grill it self had a great atmosphere and over all welcoming ambience to it. The had many tv’s for watching sports, a well thought out layout of the seating and pool table. There were three of us that came in to enjoy some drinks, and to catch up. The entire night Karen was on top of making sure all of our needs were met and or exceeded!! She was not only funny, but she was a very respectful and professional server. We had a fantastic night, and would highly recommend to others to go into have some food and drinks at the Oliver Street Bar & Grill. I hope they are just lucky enough as we were to have Karen as their server, I will be making future road trips to come up and enjoy this establishment and will be sure to sit in Karen’s section as I know for certain I will have a fantastic night and be very well taken care of. The owners and management have done well if all their servers are trained as professional as she is. Thanks Karen, look forward to seeing you again in the future. Cheers, Bruce
We went to Oliver's for lunch and we ordered appys. The staff we had was amazong. She was hard working and she paid attention to our needs. The food was hot when it arrived and exceptional. The owner of the Bar and Grill is super friendly and professional. We would definitely be back again. Thanks Olivers!
I thought the seating set up was cool for groups ,didn't really have a chance to try food ,but would def go back and try again , tough for waitresses to provide decent service if short staffed and running in and out to the patio..Service: 3/5
Won't allow a 2 month old who can't even hold her own head up to join mom and dad asleep in her carseat for an afternoon appetizer, because they serve alcohol? Most restaurants serve alcohol these days, you may want to rethink that policy.. Seems a bit silly, especially for local families with already limited dining options! Good way to lose business!
Good Food, Great Service, large portions of food. Can't go wrong with this place.
