Olde Judge Mansion Bed & Breakfast

Love, love, love, this gem! Tina is a wonderful hostess in this urban setting. The beds are comfortable in charming rooms and the breakfast is generous and delicious! We will definitely be coming back for our next three generation girls trip!

The accommodation was great, and the host was very pleasant. I really enjoyed the building and the company. I was, however, very put off by the neighborhood. I suppose that I should have done more research, but the neighborhood was not what I was expecting. Be very careful there at night.

Having read some other reviews I was puzzled by references to the neighborhood. To my husband and I, who lived in Troy back in the 1970s, it is a perfect example of a Troy neighborhood. The B &B itself was remarkable. It made us feel like we had returned to the Troy in which we once lived. The rooms were well furnished and clean, with lots of extra blankets and pillows for what became a chilly night. Tina, the owner, was a powerhouse of energy, cooking tasty breakfasts to order and bringing us up to date about everything that had changed. In addition, we had hoped to contact our old landlady and she was able to make the contact that brought us back together. Since we were in town for a reunion, and it looks like there will be one in 2014, we intend to be back at the Old Judge Mansion.

I enjoyed my stay at the Olde Judge Mansion Bed & Breakfast. It was like staying at a friend's home. The breakfast was very good and cooked to order. The owner Tina and her cousin were very warm and friendly. The location was residential with a Jamaican restaurant and a Stewart's Shop across the street. I recommend staying there.
