Cannon Suites

As described in the other reviews, the online booking online was broken and I had to call them to double check that my room was still booked. In the future I would recommend booking online and double checking over the phone. However, once the room was booked, the rooms are well appointed, clean and the hotel is in a great location in down town Troy.

On the plus side, Cannon Suites are located downtown. You're near lots of restaurants and the river. If you're looking for a budget accommodations that are lean, but only reasonably clean, this is the spot. However, there is a terrible stench of cigarette smoke in the hallway. The apartment was less than clean. The bed was really hard and the sofa was really soft. There were plates and cutlery that were suitable for one person. The TV reception and the Wi-Fi were very weak. There were no extra blankets in the apartment. The sheets did not match. Being downtown, there was a lot of noise at night including screaming from the bars across the street. On the website, there are links to things to do in Troy that don't link to the right places and that don't link to places in Troy. It was cheap.

Got an email confirming a booked room, but when I got there the manager told me no room was reserved. Awful booking procedure.

Very lax, which has its ups and downs. I approve of the atmosphere and of the lack of cohesion, to be honest.

Misleading email confirmation emails from online booking system made me think I had a room. Ended up being stranded on graduation weekend. Rude customer service on phone.
