This is an original BC Park and it's beautiful. Not a lot of privacy but very well developed mature landscaping

This campground is lovely and clean and while crowded, provides wonderful lake access to campers. The one star ratings are isolated incidents of people not knowing or following Provincial campground rules. It is pointed out when booking a site that there is a surcharge for over 4 adults on a site and that if someone else will be checking in first you must include their name in the reservation so they can make sure that no one steals a reservation. This campground is extremely popular and usually fully books as soon as reservations open so they have to be careful about this. As for campfires, there is information and maps online showing where and when campfire bans are in affect. I would think it was common sense that you can't have a campfire during a campfire ban, especially when massive portions of the province are on fire. The rangers are there to do their jobs and make sure you follow the rules. If you don't follow the rules, it is your own fault. Don't blame staff.

This place was not for us. The campsites were very small and there was little to no privacy. The grassy areas would have been nice but they were quite wet and boggy probably due to flooding. This is obviously not their fault as the water had been high this year but then they water the lawns during the day and at one point we were sitting in our campsite and the water came on and sprayed us! This is not a dog friendly place as the pet beach is quite far from the campsite. The bathrooms were nice as well as the dish sinks but there was a boil water order which was a bit annoying. This would be a great site if you are stopping during your travels...it's so close to the highway you hear it...but as a camping getaway it's a definately pass.

Upon arriving at the gate, my girlfriend and I explained we were the first there from our group and would like to check in. The person maning the gate immediately said in a very patronizing manor "we could not check in until the person who booked it arrived" I started to explain to this man that our friends would not be able to make it until later that night. Before I could even finish, he said "I guess you have some waiting to do" The man pointed us to the parking lot beside the bathroom where he said we would have to wait until our friend was able to show up in 4 hours. What made this whole ordeal even more ridiculous was the fact our camp was about 15 feet away from where we were forced to park and wait, unable to set our camp up and make dinner. Obviously, we were feeling frustrated and annoyed. However we did not want this rude man to ruin our experience, so we sat in the parking lot waiting on lawn chairs trying to keep positive, despite being tired hungry and hot. I believe this offended our park ranger, whom had now taken it upon himself to patrol the parking lot from a side by side atv, ensuring we stayed put. Once our friends finally arrived, he allowed us to move the 15 feet down the road and unpack. But not before Making us pay extra because we had 4 vehicles for our two sites. It's now after 9 and we all just want to eat, relax and visit. During our dinner, at 10:05, this same lunatic barges into our camp and tells us it's quiet time and everything needed to be shut down. We couldn't believe this man was still on our case, despite the fact he knew the reason we were outside cooking so late was because HE forced us to wait in a parking lot all evening for no reason. The rudeness and disrespecful attitude of this man was so shocking, we didn't know what to say. So we just listened to this man belittle us once more before he walked away. Our group felt very upset after this treatment and the tone continued to shift negatively. Two of the girls thought it would be good to wash our dishes near the bathroom in the designated dish cleaning sink connected to the washroom facility; nowhere near any camps. This man came and harassed them once more for doing the dishes too late. At this point, even the park ranger assisting him questioned this nut job saying "doing dishes is against policy?" Just further proving to us what a tirade this man was on. Despite this guy fully engulfed in a power trip, we did manage to have a nice time. There are some beautiful views, and the lake was great. The vast majority of sites were very small tho, and they offered very little privacy. There are 3 sites that were right on the water, if you could snag any of those you would be pretty happy. If that one particular park worker wasn't there, I'd rate my experience maybe 3.5-4 / 5 That guys actions were inexcusable though. This is the most disrespected I've ever felt. I'm all for respecting rules, but this guy harassed us all evening. Camping is supposed to be a fun way to relax and disconnect from regular life. Apparently to this Campground that means being ruled with an iron fist by some guy with an inferiority complex.

okay .iwanna rate this okanagan south provincial park a very low rate.this is not we are expecting to have cause apparently a guy name "terry" ruin all the last night we would like to spend .he is the most arrogant and rude person i ever met .he keeps yelling on us and ruin our holiday vacation.i will consider it a racist cause we are brown people and he is not the typical guy that showing a manner and care to their customer..all the children hear that he is very mad in that time .well there is a notice that they put on the wash room that telling to everyone that this day will be no bonfire .then after they posted a notice .he came to our campsite and telling that we need to pack up immediately or else we will getting an eviction notice and pay a grand and cease our car ..so we immediately pack up .and then suddenly this guy came back again and told us to that we can stay for another 1 night .but everyone on our group had already pack up since they told us to pack up and there is no warning for the first time he talk us about the bonfire issue.we go in their post office to tell that there is happening not right to our rights but the lady that we talked to was protecting her staff.anyways we decided not to stay instead cause i think we dont have to spend one more night in that place anymore and guided by the poor quality and racist staff staff
