We are a "Free Admission" non-profit facility where you can hand feed a small herd of Whitetail Deer. We have bags of feed you can purchase for a small fee. This facility was established in the 1940's and has put smiles on children's faces ever since.
The Ogemaw Nature Park is in a secluded environment that's extremely peaceful and relaxing! Many families bring their lunch and spend the day with us. We are completely fenced in so the kids can run free. May through June is our fawning season. So bring your little ones to come see our little ones! During Fall, many hunters stop in to see our bucks in rut. They always put on a spectacular display pacing, snorting and rubbing.
We also have 4 rustic campsites and a hall for use in the warmer months. Plan your next family reunion with us or just come by for the day! Were sure you'll have a wonderful time and will continue to bring your kids and grandkids here year after year!
We are giving children and adults the opportunity to have an up close experience with Michigan's Whitetail Deer. Also, our goal is to inform the public on how precious of a resource the deer are and the huge role hunter's play in the species survival. Hopefully once the public has a chance to interact with these animals they'll play a more active role in ensuring the continuing success of this species!
We are always in need of many items to keep this place running. If you ever have the desire to help, just contact us and we will send you a tax deductible donation form!
The park runs a small shop which sells drinks, snacks and wildlife souvineirs.
