It might not sound like it but this is a great place for tourists too. Despite the name there is a lot too see including the seal tank, touch tanks for the kids to explore some of the ocean sea life.

We loved it here! It's funny because we were looking for scenic spots along the coast to take pictures and just stumbled across this University / Study Facility.. We decided to visit and I have to say it is a MUST visit if you're in the area in the summer months. It is completely free to view the seals and hold the sea creatures in the touch tank. This spot really is a hidden gem for outsiders who would have no way of knowing about it. We are from Toronto, so anything like this would be easily $10 each there. Not to mention, the staff were all amazing too and knowledgeable about the animals.
