Very lovely library with a specific area for children, as well as a quiet spot to concentrate.
Decent collection of books. The best library in Oakville if your looking for a quiet place to study and be productive. Nice windows for great indoor lighting.
Gorgeous huge library ! With a large variety of books. My kids easily spend a couple of hours here every time we come. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The only negative about it is that you have to pay for parking.

The collection is a little lacklustre because their books are spread out across all Oakville libraries instead of a centralized location, so instead of browsing the shelves it is best to place a hold on what you want. What I really don’t understand is why you can only return library books at certain hours??? They have an electronic book return for after-hours but it’s only open and working at very specific days/times of the week. The hours aren’t posted online. I have driven here to drop off books numerous times only to find out the book return was “closed”. What’s the point of the electronic book return then?
Great selection of books! The online catalogue is very easy to navigate. The holds system is very efficient. Staff are super friendly and helpful. They are very careful with COVID precautions. Ample parking on the southwest side of the building. It was a bit hard to find at first.
Our family loves visiting libraries and we especially love discovering new ones in our travels. This one is nice but the adult & children's sections are not connected. Therefore, Out-of-town visitors like us! can not take adult books between the Kids & Adult sections. Which made our visit very short. The kids area is large but pretty much all of the toys were for preschool aged children. Also leading to our short visit. Overall, for a "central" library in a very nice neighbourhood/city we left disappointed.
Good place to come to if you are looking for information or just want to feel safe.
