O Espeta Restaurant

All our food was delicious. Service was great and I didn't wait long at all. Place appears popular with the local Portuguese which is a good sign

Nice service, great tasting food. We ordered the filet mignon and grouper fish with potatoes and vegetables like rapini which tasted amazing!

Today myself and family went to dine in at O Espeta to celebrate my moms birthday the food was amazing ..the service was good as well . Will be returning for some more yummy food . Thank you O espeta my family and I loved it and thank you to the amazing chef who made it all possible and made us all the yummy food .

Fresh food, very tasty. Traditional Portuguese without overpaying. The shishkabob was great, tender marinated beef with sausage and vegetables. Grouper was cooked just right. Lamb chops were good. The couple that runs this family run restaurant are awesome lovely people. Very homey...

Owner is amazing , the services is not great when she is not there. Today is the second time , we are dined service. Since the staff on site decided not to provide me the owner’s number , i am writing it here. Food is great and the service with the owner is fantastic, those two things have motivated us to visit the restaurant more frequently. I also live in the same street. Few weeks ago, i was told that we could not bring a service dog inside and that the person could not serve us on their patio, because he was alone: We understood that and left. Today, we wanted to invite our entire team 6 people to eat there. —I went in, to let them know we were outside . Please note there is an other table being served outside. Same staff from previous occasion, told us they could not service us outside and that dog cannot come inside. I asked , why ?. there is other people being served in the patio and we are not allowed to be there?. He stated , they other people are customers. I was in shock , I am a costumer , I am not Portuguese or European , but certainly a costumer. I left and come back ask for the owner’s number. I was told by the same staff that anything I wanted to say, is with him. so here I am … Feeling discriminated and having mixed feeling about the restaurant as I know how hard the owner works , but realizing that a place is also made out by the people that works there. So , if you are a person of Colour , you might not be that welcomed.

In such a big city with alot of options.. I just found my favorite restaurant from the food to the service and a great vibe .. highly recommended

O Espeta is as traditional as can get, I highly recommend. Restaurant was clean, staff was friendly and pleasant. The owners introduced themselves and treated us like friends. The food was fantastic and had the true Portuguese taste, as for wine..... I told our server which wine & region I preferred and she brought a selection not displayed for us to choose from.

This hidden gem, is welcoming and the food is delicious. One of the first things I noticed was the owner of the restaurant introducing themselves to our table, was attentive, had a full conversation with us, took time and get to know your customers is 100% guaranteed a repeat customer. My husband has been talking about his plate all week and we can wait to go back for more ! The round potatoes are amazing !
