Our room had been renovated and was clean overall. The restaurant had good food and a huge menu. People couldn’t have been nicer. They even recommended a breakfast place for the next day on our way out of town.Rooms: 4/5
Room and bathroom was dirty when I checked in. I had to do thorough cleafor 3hrs The price was hiked up by $250 from what was advertised on the site. The room was nothing compared to the picture on the site. No chairs, microwave broken. The worst bed springs. There was dog hair everywhere especially under the beds.bugs, ants, centipedes and spiders to compete with every day. No where to put clothing for a 3 month stay. Room was never cleaned by housekeeping. Internet very poor. Cable was very basic nothing to watch.Bed linens were dirty worst place ever. Smokers leave cigarettes outside the doorway with piles of rubbish. They never cleaned this place should be a one night rental just to lay your head. Not to be advertised for long stay travellers far away from home. Worst travel stay experience ever.Their sole priority is the bar and restaurant .
The rooms were nice and clean. The staff and waitress, Ann, in the restaurant were absolutely the best! They are still renovating and bringing O'Briens back! No, there wasn't any bother with any of the updating while we were there.Rooms: 4/5
My family was visiting from New Jersey for my sons graduation party they had 5 rooms booked at O’Briens. There was a water break situation at the motel and they weren’t able to accommodate all 5 rooms. Jesse, one of the owners suggested they all stay together at a local chain hotel, he made the call and over accommodated my family. Don’t overlook O‘Briens for your out of town guests or while visiting the finger lake region. Renovated rooms, bar and lounge. Good food and a beautiful view. Thank you for taking great care of my family and our plans.
Just went for dinner. Hadn't been there in 50 years, but had told my husband how that was one of my families favorite places to eat on special occasions when I was a kid. He surprised me with reservations on a last minute getaway. The place was as beautiful as I remembered albeit older, but to see that beautiful wood work and the breathtaking view was awesome. As for dinner...first let me say Tameka, our waitress was simply amazing and such a warm and caring person...anyway, we both had the scallops with our dinner and they were the BEST scallops I have ever had anywhere and I love scallops so almost always order them. The butter they were served with superbly seasoned butter and they were cooked to perfection. All to often when ordering seafood it's rubbery or undercooked...not here. It was simply perfection. It should also be noted that on the Thursday evening we were there it was extremely busy and despite that the chef appeared not to be frazzled in the least judging by how well the scallops were prepared! I would never order anything else there and given my choice of server anywhere I'd choose Tameka. To Tameka, Darling I don't know if you see these reviews, but I'm the person who asked you to write down your name because I was going to write this review and didn't want to forget your name. You were great and I genuinely hope you are appreciated by the owner and those you work with because you are awesome!!!
The revival of this historic inn and restaurant has incredible potential. The room is simple and well upgraded for the price and area. The food was good. Service excellent. Kudos to the manager for handling all the different jobs that comes with running an inn and bar & lounge. The views were absolutely incredible. Cannot wait to come back for another refreshing trip.
Friday night dinner, good service, great food! We did not stay in a room. Food & drinks: Delicious!
Attended a wedding & reception here. The window shade was broken and wouldn't go down to accommodate photos without the glare off the windows. Food service wasn't up to par...chicken was dry, garlic knots didn't come out with the rest of the meal, as previously arranged, had to ask for water and rice was provided that was not on the menu; the wedding toast was not what was arranged for as requested. There was no one go-to events manager for assistance and Management didn't seem to place a priority on the event. No prior preparations were made as far as table setup, linens, etc. I would not hold an event here.
Had an amazing dinner at OBrian’s the food is out of this world! Staff are s incredibly nice and helpful, and the view can’t be beat… we had a wonderful dinner Thank youService: 5/5
Very disappointed. No dinner menu just lounge menu. Service was great food not so good. Had coconut shrimp that were suppose to be hand breaded. I got fried shrimp with cocktail sauce. The French onion soup was good. The french fries were hard.like forgot them in fryer. Not just mine Everyone that got french fries.
