Originally a 1912 summer home, Hill Top Inn offers quality casual dining while overlooking the Chemung Valley. Indoor dining available next to the fireplace, in a private snug, or next to one of our many picture windows. In the warmer months, enjoy the outdoor decks, Tiki Deck, and Raw bar. Hill Top Inn is also a great venue for private events, wedding ceremonies and receptions, and meetings. Off premise catering also available for your wedding, picnic, or other private event."

Amazing place! Great service and food! Husband and I both ordered steak, mine was cooked how I asked. Had to send husband's back because wasn't cooked to order. No big deal. Waitress, Laura, was absolutely amazing. Probably one of the best servers I've ever had. It was a busy night and she still managed to stay on top! There was even an event going on tonight and the service was amazing. Will definitely be going again and will recommend to anyone and everyone!!!!
I recently dined at Hill Top with high hopes for a memorable culinary experience. However, I regret to say that my visit turned out to be quite disappointing. From start to finish, the quality of the food failed to meet even the most basic expectations.
We went for the St Patrick's dau luncheon. My rubber was very dried out like it was baked 2hrs ahead of time. We asked for more thousand island dressing so we could swallow the sandwich. The soup was Luke warm. Last year our lunch was much better. The dessert was excellent We had the mint ice cream pie & the mud pieFood: 2/5
Went for Easter buffet, party of 6...Had to wait for reservations, about 10 mins past, no biggie, go to seating, up 2 flights of stairs, buffet downstairs, absolute chaos. The tables were way too close together & most were like school cafeteria..the serving area line was 20+ people deep at all times, food everywhere, sloppy dessert table in middle of line....food was average. I know now why we had to pay in advance, & it will NEVER happen again. In our opinions, this was less appetizing than most casino buffets that we get free. We were 100% disappointed & will never return. Low standards, high prices. Beautiful view from patio. I do not recommend.
Delicious food, amazing service, beautiful relaxing atmosphere. Favorite place for date night. The scallops and brussels sprouts are so, so good. Lots of gluten free options available. And they stock our favorite wine. Update, my birthday rolled around so we planned on dinner at Hilltop. Arrive 6:30 and doors are locked with a sign on the door, closed for training. Ok...how about updating your Facebook page or something? Happy Birthday huh. Thanks. Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options
Will not go there again for mother's day it cost 103 for two people for the brunch buffet and if you are there more than an hr will be asked too leave. Will never ever eat there againRooms: 3/5

Every time we've been to the Hill Top, it's always been a great time. The food was excellent and the staff were so friendly and conscious of their guests. The views from there are just breathtaking, you get the entire valley of Elmira. And if you're there after nightfall the city lit up at is just as pretty. The Hill Top is very popular so be very patient if you go when they are busy, but it's all worth it when the food is arrives.
After receiving an educational email from the owner about how buffets work and how restaurants outside Elmira often require deposits for reservations, I will oblige the owner, Mr. Sullivan, and state that we have previously enjoyed dining at Hilltop. The food was always good and the service was too. I found your private email response to this review to be both condescending and entertaining. -Thank you. Original review was that I wasn’t impressed with their pay in advance Thanksgiving reservation policy.
We are frequent guests at Hilltop. We love the environment, the food, the staff, and the views. Today we got the pleasure of having Easter dinner there, I normally cook for all holidays but decided this year I did not want to. I was so impressed with the food and the staff. Everything was delicious and I didn’t even have to do the dishes!! AND The most important part…… I have an allergy to Gluten Celiac disease, they labeled the food items in the buffet so there was no guessing and no need to find staff to ask a bunch of questions! Makes buffet dining so easy and relaxing which literally never happens anywhere! Thank you Hilltop Staff!!!!
