"We are a Greek fine dining restaurant located at 3162 West Broadway. Nostos means “homecoming” in Greek. Since we couldn’t be in Greece we thought we can bring part of Greece here. When people comes to Nostos we want them feel like they’re visiting us to our own home and they taste authentic Greek food. We want everyone to feel welcome and they’re in a home and not in a restaurant."

I love the atmosphere of the restaurant. Even though me and my husband are not familiar with Greek food, we really enjoyed all food that we ordered! Prices are also not as expensive as we expected. I'd love to go back again for sure!
Not your traditional Greek restaurant. This place is much better. Eveything is superb and delicious except the pickled octupus. It is a bit chewy for my son. The family platter is great for its portion and taste. It's got a little bit of eveything. A gem in the neighbourhood. Must try.
Very nice menu with great options. Plenty of appetizers, dips and salads to choose from. The white prawn saganaki was delicious. This one has prawns and dipping sauce with it. The dip platter was great must get the taramasalata. Tiganopsomo pan fried flatbread stuffed with feta is also very special as most places do not make this and is from the special area in Greece that the family is from. Must try! Service is excellent and will come back to try the meat dishes!
Very good place, outstanding service and attention. I ordered a vegetables and shrimp soup, my wife had chicken and vegetables, both very tasteful. After the starter, I had superb lamb chops, cooked to the perfection. My son had befteki, a kind of beef in Mediterranean way, wife went for chicken soulvlaki. Unfortunately, they didn’t have octopus today… Everything was delicious. The postre was good as well, did not get the name as it was not in the menu.
Was attracted by their exterior design and could not resist by stopped by to check it our for dinner. No regrets! Beautiful interior design featuring some Greek antiques, very pleasant ambiance, soft-volume Greek music that does not beat over your conversation around the table. The menu was just one page, which I like as to me it is a sign that they rather offer fewer dishes but fresher and better quality. Lamb chops is a must if you like tender-juicy lamb! Beets looked very pretty and were so yummy! Orange cake was a bit too sweet to me, but if you have a sweet tooth, you will enjoy it. Prices are very reasonable for food, wines might seem a bit too pricy. But the meal and service were worth the total bill. Thank you, Tom, you excelled in customer service. A good start in Kitsilano, Nostos Taverna.
I just was here yesterday doing they soft opening , and the place is beautiful, full of details and a great bar. Each dish I try was both well presented and absolutely testy. It was great to be hosted by the owners with alway makes the experience much nice. Absolutely great customer service, can’t wait to come back to try more dishes.
Great, unique menu full of standouts that make this different than your typical taverna. Standouts were the Fried Zucchini, Pickled Octopus and Portokalopita Orange Cake for dessert, which was particularly good.
Delicious food and wonderful service. Add that to the beautiful decor and you have a wonderful local restaurant that you want to go back to again and again! Thank you for the wonderful food and service, we WILL be back! Photo was taken after we had already started eating... platter for 4 people
Really authentic Greek food! yum! Ordered Fix Greek beer to try suggested by our server. We started with a greek salad big portion of feta and very delicious dressing. Then had the Tiganopsomo - pan fried bread dough with feta cheese. Big portion, crunchy with melted feta worth the extra calories!. Ordered grilled shrimp, lemon potatoes that had a nice herb oil to them and chicken skewers. The chicken was succulent and perfectly grilled - we ended up ordering one more and tzatziki sauce on the side is a must. Ambiance is nice, fireplace beside us and our server Celia was fantastic! Thank you Will be back again soon. We forgot to take pictures when food arrived because it was so good… so here are the half eaten plates. Ha!
Nice ambience, good service, and fresh food. Some details need to be worked out with the food though. The Greek salad was bland, and the grilled meats were lacking flavor, juiciness, and were overcooked. I am speculating that the meats are not marinated for a long enough duration prior to grilling.
