Double DD Pizza

I was around the neighborhood and decided to try Double DD Pizza. The place is really cozy and has a nice atmosphere. The heavenly smell of pizza hits you as soon as you walk in so I had my expectations really high for the pizza… I got half Double DD Vegetarian and half mushroom garlic and green peppers. The vegetarian one was really tasty and my favorite out of the two, the latter was a bit too salty for my taste. Overall the pizza seemed to be a bit too overdone, the crust was too crunchy and a bit thick. I also got the greek fries with feta and oregano and it came with a delicious yogurt garlic and cucumber dressing 10/10 recommend the fries! Staff is super friendly and helpful, even though the restaurant had a good amount of costumers.

I ordered a medium pizza for takeout—half pepperoni, half hawaiian. The review is for the pizza only. It was good and the ingredients were fresh and evenly spread out, but the experience of it was underwhelming. We thought the dough would be thicker and fluffier the assumption we had looking at the pictures. It just wasn't savoury enough and it didn't hit the spot in the way we'd hoped for. Still I'd recommend it as an option though in Kits. I do recommend dining in—the atmosphere is so warm and welcoming and the staff are thoughtful. Note: call in advance to order for pick-up, the wait can be quite long on a Friday night. I'm not complaining.. it's understandable.

Had really good chicken strips and pizza. My girlfriend and I really wanted to know what the bottom of the pizza looked like when we were reading reviews and deciding where to eat so here’s a pic of it for anyone else who was wondering this. We wanted a pizza with thicker crust that was like Mario’s Kitchen in Tsawwassen and this pizza surpassed our expectations! Delicious

Pizza was burnt, crispy, and barely warm. Was told they were going to deliver another pizza, they called back to inform me that they actually couldn’t deliver another pizza.. they said they were too busy and we could pick one up or have a pizza on credit.. they then agreed to refund the cost. Wings are okay. Garlic bread is basically unseasoned and overly crispy. Wouldn’t recommend!

Dined here for the first time tonight. It is a lovely restaurant with great views for people watching on W 4th. We had the pizza and it was delicious. Delicious. So much cheese and the toppings were so fresh. The servers were friendly and attentive. Overall a great experience and we can't wait to return to order pizza again and also try a Greek dish! Yum!

Placed a large order for my sons birthday. Why we loved our experience and gave 5 stars: First, we asked for pick up before the restaurant was officially open and that was no issue to accommodate - plus 10% off for pick up! Communication to arrange was prompt and easy. Second, we had many friends at the party come up and ask where we got the pizza from Because it was so tasty! Third, the sauce on the pizza is my favourite part. Really robust and tasty! They don’t hold back on the cheese - but it isn’t oily or too much for the crust to hold. Don’t go in expecting a New York style pizza - this isn’t it but if you want a well made and tasty pizza pie and want to support a local establishment then I highly recommend DDs!!

A family owned and operated business by wonderful people. The service was fast and friendly. My pizza order came fairly quick, during the busy dinner time period and was delicious. This is my first visit and plan to come back very soon. Looking forward to trying their other items, on a pretty good looking menu selection. Yum, yum.

This is my absolute favourite Greek restaurant, and I've tried a lot of them. Excellent food for an excellent price. Our favourite is the lamb dinner easily feeds two adults and a child and the pizza is also fantastic. If you are visiting kitsilano and hungry, I highly recommend eating here! Parking: 2 hour free parking, or meter parking available. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible, no stairs into restaurant.

Had moussaka, which was good. Ekmek had custard and vanilla cake flavour, but was firmer than I am used to. Calamari was light. Friendly staff. It was a warm day, and I was glad to sit at one of the tables that opened into the sidewalk. Ventilation in the restaurant itself doesn't seem to be very good.
