Noodle Man

12/28/17: 4.5 out of 5 - Came here with my wife and parent-in-laws (they're Chinese) on a cold, rainy day. Which is the best time for something hot and soupy. It's nice to see a place that actually makes the noodles on site. The staff was informative and answered all the questions in both Cantonese and Mandarin to my in-laws. Food is similar to Chinese street vendor food with a good mix of the various regions of China. Amazingly, ALL appetizers are $7 and ALL noodles (or rice) bowls are $10. What a great price point for Happy Valley considering there is an abundance of Asians living out that way. The restaurant is small but clean and has a nice ambiance that makes it a easy and delightful setting to eat. If you're down in the Happy Valley area give Noodle Man a try and decide for yourself. I believe my in-laws may wanting me and my wife to bring them back. Enjoy!

Exceptional broths. And the beef patty was new and delicious. Amazing soup at ~$10 feels like a steal! Definitely going back! Edit: I have been back and this is now a family favorite. Everything is exceptional my favorite is the hot and spicy pork dumpling appetizer. They will let you make it a bigger order and it is actually not that spicy. I could eat it for days on end.

This place has the best looking menu of Asian food. A guy cooking huge noodles before the eyes of those who dine. Unfortunately I could not eat. Because the people who run the place didn't understand English well I couldn't figure out if the scheschwan sauce had soy in it. Yet this is also a plus in my mind. Because they so obviously were not born here, or recently immigrated I imagine, there food must be as authentic as one could find this side of the world. And I'm talking all the employees. I spoke with several who couldn't understand when I was asking if soy was in anything to order. I think the lady thought I kept saying salt. And the guys kept saying, "no soy sauce." No sir. No soy period is the question I kept asking.

Good place to grab a bite to eat. Friendly staff and a good amount of tasty food came with my order. I plan to visit again in the future.

My first time here and I loved it! Big bowls of soup with great flavor. I can't wait to come back.
