Finally got to try this restaurant. Service was great - super friendly and prompt. Just what you look for in a dining experience. The patio was also lovely. The calamari was fine - smaller portion for the price I'm generally used to. The octopus was cooked perfect. And the flavor was superb. The pizza and pasta around the table were also great. 5 stars!
On our way to a concert at the nearby CNE, we stopped in at NODO Italian for an early meal. It's a very attractive place on the second floor, with a beautiful bar, dining room, and patio. We chose to sit at a high-top table under a covered area next to the bar. Their menu has some very attractive dishes and it took our group of seven a while to decide on what to order. Our choices included a couple of pizzas, Caesar salad, pasta, chicken, octopus, and a couple bottles of red wine. Both pizzas, one with tomato sauce and the other with a white sauce, were delicious. The crust had a nice texture, although it got a bit soggy towards the end. The flavours were very good. The pasta was perfectly cooked, with good flavour. The octopus was very tender and delicious. The chicken was also very tasty but a wee bit on the dry side. Our server brought us a complimentary serving of tiramisu as compensation. The wine, Tavernello Sangiovese Cabernet, was so enjoyable, we ended up ordering a second bottle. What we had... • Caesar Leo • Polipo E Patate • Orecchiette /// Rapini E Salsiccia • Caurà Pizza • Pianezza Pizza • Poultry /// Pollo Al Mattone • Tiramisu /// Tiramisu Tradizonalie All the dishes were attractively plated and presented. Besides the beautiful venue and good food, the service was excellent - friendly, accommodating, and very attentive.
Server was great but everything else was underwhelming. Food was super average. Decor was cold and uninviting. With so many other better Italian options in the city I will not be coming back to Nodo. This place feels like the chain restaurant that it is and you can tell that there is a lack of love in the decor and the food that is produced. The focaccia that we ordered was sitting out for a long time and you could taste that.
Really good service. Atmosphere and vibes were nice. This is the old Landing location. Wouldn’t say this was the best food. 3/5 at best for Italian in the city. But the rest was very good.
I've always been a fan of Nodo - both on St. Clair and in the Junction, so I was really looking forward to trying this location. Certainly did not disappoint and as expected, lived up to the expectation and hype. We ordered the rapini and sausage spin on the flatbead to start which was so good that we ordered a second one. We also had octopus which looked beautiful on the dish. You can't go to Nodo without ordering a pasta dish: the Orichiette dish is my personal favourite and is a difficult dish to find. They've played around with ingredients, but was still unbelievable. Our server, Frank, was the best in the business. It was a slow night and he made sure to spend ample time with us. Knew the menu inside and out and was great about supplying us with the best information to make orders. I'll be back again.
We recently attended a wedding luncheon and we were not only blown away by the gorgeous venue and beautiful views, but we cannot rave enough about the delicious food! The calamari fritto and rigatoni bolognese were absolute perfection. I ordered the chicken I believe it was called Pollo al Mottone and it was incredibly tender and tasty. To top off the meal, they served mini servings of exquisite gelato. The chocolate was my favourite!
Went and had a great dinner here! They have a beautiful patio that is lovely to sit at. The atmosphere here is great and welcoming. Our waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, such a variety of good Italian options that I'll definitely be back to try more. I had the calzone and my partner had the rigatoni, we both loved our food. They have a great drink selection also that are very refreshing to drink! So happy we have a place like this in LV. I'll definitely be back.
Good place to hang out, they have good size patio for everyone to enjoy the sunshine. Food was ok not really impressed me. Service was poor, can’t really find her when we need her. Lack of lactose free milk choice.
Poor service, okay food. We showed up promptly at opening time and got in line outside to be seated inside, which is up a set of stairs. They were sitting groups of 4 or more people first it appeared. Occasionally a staff member would come down and bring up a couple to sit. We were asked if we would do the bar if no table was available and we said of course. We had been waiting about an hour at that point and the seating staff took another couple because they specifically asked for the bar. Anyway we got up finally and IT WAS HALF EMPTY. Either creating an atmosphere of "the place to be" or hire more staff. Our waitress took a bit too get to us, but she was apologetic and got us out order promptly. The burrata salad was good but it was the smallest burrata I've seen. The pizzas were good. Drinks were small and expensive. Wouldn't wait on that line up again. Did I mention that a guy who appeared to be the owner took a couple up, who he appeared to know personally, by passing everyone else when we had waited about half an hour at that point. Didn't know there was like bypass at this restaurant. Pictures to show how empty the place was.
Excellent Rigatoni, pasta el dente perfect! If you like cocktails this is the best place so far in Toronto in my opinion. I ordered a risoto with squash with gorgonzola it was really good but I regretted to not have ordered a pasta. Will def come back specially for the drinks, one drink I believe called Merzzano and another PontaFortuna both were amazing and refreshing, I preferred the second one. Plates were from 18-25 each and drink was 15 each, would say regular price in Toronto. The place was really amazing as well.
