Nk'mip Campgrounds

We have been coming here for 9+ years, until this past summer, our experience had been wonderful. Unfortunately the staff and management we dealt with (summer 2017) were very unprofessional. The facilities (showers/washrooms) aren’t the cleanest, but the campground itself is really beautiful! Most people obey the quiet times so you aren’t awoken by rowdy campers in the night. The little cantina is perfect to have a drink lake side. My children loved the ice cream in the store, very large portions for what you pay. Everything considered we would probably give the campground another chance this year and hope for better interactions with the management and staff.

We spent a week at Nk'Mip and we found it well kept. The property is mostly sand/dirt and there are plenty of large willow trees all over the campground. If you are 'roof sensitive' you should walk the route prior to driving in as the willows were quite low hanging but soft. The facilities were clean and the staff were always seen busily doing something. We found other campers were not very friendly for the most part, but did have a couple who were. My recommendation would be to take a waterfront spot during the summer but in the spring/fall with the winds off the water it is often hard to get outside. Although we did find that once we left our campsite and got even a short distance from the water the wind minimized drastically, making for a nice day if you got out and about. Unfortunately, it took us a few days of apparent bad weather to figure this out. All in all a nice campground. No campground membership discounts.

This is a beautiful spot Stayed here twice on the lake in a travel trailer. The golf course is excellent. Good location minutes from services and restaurants in town. Vineyards and fruit vendors abound.

Lake front sites are awesome as you get your own little spot right on the lake. The sites that are not on the waterfront are very roomy (more than the waterfront sites). Only propane fire pits are allowed. It's quiet and peaceful at night time and lively during the day. There are public bathrooms/showers and coin operated laundry. We love it here!

Campground is large, sites are spread out, several different types of sites. Really enjoyed it here, our site looked out over the vineyards. Several full-timers but people were nice. Facilities were clean. Landscaping between sites that are not on the lake or near the lake. Would stay here a month.
