Stopped here with family and friends. Had the smoke meat sandwich with poutine and it was a huge portion. Everyone in our group tried it and we were very satisfied with friendly staff and food. Highly recommended.
Don't get the grilled salmon; terrible presentation & very bland! Plus only got 1/2 portion shown on menu. Visited December 26,2022.
Order from here twice before, ordered something different each time and was pretty decent previously. All I can say this time is this ain't Philly cheese steak, not even close. Fiancée got a cobb salad which consisted of dead iceberg lettuce. Not great.
The service was ok, was pretty busy at the time. What I was not impressed by was one of the special was steak and shrimp, we did receive delicious shrimp we did not get steak, we got pieces of beef in a gravy. We were disappointed but we are not people who complain. It was tasty but not steak. Will try restaurant again but not order steak.
The service was ok...I ordered eggs benny and it was absolutely disgusting! The sauce was full of lumps and tasted horrible. The eggs were over cooked and the yolks hard. They must scoop the eggs from the water right onto the english muffin cause it was drenched and soggy. I asked for bacon in mine, what a huge mistake!! I ate only a few potatoes. The server was clearly shocked when she picked up my full plate and asked if I enjoyed my food. I replied absolutely not! She said ok and I paid in full!! Do yourself a favor and go to Frerot!! Don't waste your money here to leave on an empty stomach
Good food and friendly service. Beware of the bar side! As they have 5 digital slot machines and they forgot to mute them, if someone is playing you will keep hearing a frequent annoying loud "heeiinnn" sound!Food: 5/5
We visited Nickels Deli Gatineau for breakfast I had the Philly Steak Eggs Benedict and converted the breakfast potatoes into Poutine with Hollandaise sauce and a side of sausage. My friend had the Western Omelette with Breakfast potatoes. The food was delicious served hot and on time and the waitress polite, courteous and pleasant to deal with. The place was clean and the employees keep it nicely sanitized. I would definitely recommend this location for a meal.
Chicken and rice soup is Garbage soup. No chicken, salty, frozen corn, peas, whole green beans, black beans with overcooked broken mushy rice. Montreal Smoked Sandwich is utter garbage. 70% fat to meat ratio. If you complain, they blame you for not asking for lean. Who knew. No mention on the menu and waitress doesn't specify if you want lean or 70% fat. As manager says this is the way they do it in QC. Ontario does it better! Manager was unprofessional and refused to make the a new Montreal Smoke Meat sandwich. We left and went other where's and enjoyed our meal!
Just had food here tonight with some friends. Everyone served food with a 10-20 minute difference in between. Same with the bill; about 35 minute difference between the first and last person. Place was empty too. Food is only okay. Never going back, waste of time and overpriced.
The food was delicious and the service very good. The smoke meat sandwich is the best and the cheese cake
