A small hidden gem for collectors and gamers! I have found every retro system and game I've wanted here. Thanks to these guys I got my dad a Sega Game Gear for Christmas that he's wanted for 10+ years. Great selection, no, best selection. Fair trade in values / cash value. Fair prices. The most knowledgeable and nicest staff I've met, ever. If you want to sell games, or buy games, PLEASE try NexWave before other stores, you will not regret it. Y'all have a repeat customer now
I’m from out of province and thought I’d check out a few local game stores since I’m a collector and found this place by pure luck. Staff are really cool and friendly. The store is clean and they have a ton of stock, which is also priced quite fairly! I found some games that, where I live, would cost double to triple the price these guys were selling for. If I’m ever back in town I plan to come back here, I really enjoyed the atmosphere and conversation with the staff and the prices they’re selling some games for are completely reasonable.
I just started at Nait and when I heard this place was nearby I had to take a look. Definitely the best selection in the city, especially if you're looking for stuff on the rare side. The store was organized very well and each game was in a plastic sleeve which I thought was very nice. The only downside was most things seemed a little over-priced by around 10 dollars, but nothing too egregious and some were lower than average as well. The dude working the counter was also super nice and talkative and seemed to know what he was talking about too which I think is super important! I'll definitely be coming back!
The greatest selection of rare video games, both new and old, in Edmonton. Whether your buying games or selling them, you'll never feel cheated here; their stuff is priced either at, or often below, market value. We absolutely love the staff here; they're insightful, passionate and wonderful to chat with. Everytime we stop by to browse the store we end up talking for nearly an hour, and always leave with something special. They'll work with you to find whatever your looking for, even if they don't have it, but chances are, they do! 10/10, best gaming store in Alberta!
Retro gamer heaven. I have had an amazing experience at NexWave. Good prices, great variety in games and consoles, staff is really nice and love to just talk about games and give information. This is my go to game shop.
Prices are maybe a tad on the high end, but the convenience of not having to pay shipping and wait for the mail almost makes up for it. Fantastic selection. Was honestly surprised by how many uncommon titles they have on hand.
Super nice place! Huge selection of games from every console imaginable. The people working there, you can tell are games and collectors alike so they give great recommendations and know their stuff.
I bought some games for my children, one didnt work. It was the holidays and in all the things I had to do, I forgot my reciept and they did an exchange and staff was kind and was very helpful in resolving and good at helping me find games for the kids.
would rate no stars if i could. everything in the store is priced more than what its worth. Ebay, Kijiji, FB Marketplace, Even Game City is better than this place which is saying A LOT. Don't waste your time with Shitwave just go somewhere else or get somebody from market place to deliver what you're looking for, less hassle and less money spent that way.
Super friendly service. Young lady helped me pick out some great games for my grandson. They have so many great games from atari 2600 to ps3 and more.
