Newick's Lobster house

This place is really fantastic. Great service, great food, great view, but a bit pricey and they use paper and plastic table settings. I’d definitely come back for the lobster. It’s very good and really generous portions, but still pricey for a place that has homey, small-town, “nothin fancy” vibes.

Great food! Awesome service!!! Amazing view of the water. Staff is very friendly! Hubbies in seafood heaven! Our server Shana was so patient and nice. Can't wait to return.

Have loved this place since I was10 58 yrs ago! Queen B was our waitperson today and she was excellent, friendly & upbeat! In our group of 4, the Lobster Stew was great as was the Chowder, Onion Rings, Orig. Lobster Roll, Fried Sea Scallops, Fried Bay Scallops and the Clam Strips.

We went looking for seafood away from all the touristy restaurants, and stopped at Newicks, with a recommendation from locals. Perfect!! Food was great - lobster, haddock stuffed with lobster, lobster stew, shrimp cocktail. Was definitely more of a casual setting, with quaint views. Would definitely return!!

This is a charming quintessential New England restaurant. Not only do they serve amazingly fresh and delicious seafood but they are also located right on the water and have windows lining their outer walls so you have a view no matter where you are seated! They are wheelchair accessible. And be it a baby stroller, a walker or a cane this spot is one of the more accessible locations I've been too. I use a wheelchair. The parking lot is on the same level as the restaurant, there was no curb, or step up to get inside. Parking is free and the lot has spaces as close as 10ft to the front door. Kid-friendliness: This is a spot you could take your family Parking: Parking is free Wheelchair accessibility: They are wheelchair accessible. And be it a baby stroller, a walker or cane, this spot is one of the more accessible locations I've been too. I use a wheelchair. Perfect spot to eat fresh seafood after a day at the beach. Great atmosphere inside the building with friendly staff. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I personally love their fish tacos! So light and fresh with great seasonings.

Good service. Didn't allow us to order just haddock nuggets without potatoes. And, disappointed they don't offer birthday special anymore.

Delicious lobster, amazing location, and wonderful vibe— it is simple and straightforward like its food. Sat at the new bar; appreciate the local beers too!

I gave it 4 stars for atmosphere and service. The views are phenomenal, our Waitress was awesome. The food is ok and in my opinion overpriced. A cup of lobster stew was $22.99.

This is such a lovely seafood restaurant to grab a bite at! It's clearly an institution of Durham and for good reason. The lobster roll I had was so beautifully made, very lightly dressed to let the lobster flavor shine through. If you're looking for a place to go with friends, family, or even by yourself for a seafood meal I would recommend Newicks!
