Things to do for Everyone! Awesome Sledding Hill. Fire pits to stay warm. Lodge available to reserve. Even a stage outdoors. My favorite part is the North Country Trail. The trail goes all the way through Michigan!!
A bounty of great information self-service outside or personal service inside. There are benches wirh scenic overviews, an unsupervised sledding hill, fire rings for winter days or evenings around back, a small bandshell for performances and an entry point to the North Country Trail. Day hike parking all operated by Newaygo County Parks Association.
Great for tourist info!! Nice place for a short hike in the summer. In the winter it would be fine for sledding. Long walk back up though. Recommended
They need to open up to public or put Porta potties on the sled hill. We had 6 kids sledding and no restroom without crossing M-37
Connie is an excellent help! I wanted to park on National Forest Land and van camp but I am a bit map illiterate so she took the time to help me understand where I was vs where I needed to be even though it was closing time.
The woman working was extremely kind and helpful. Very pleased with the amount of material they offered for free.
Great loop trail just poorly marked for the beginning bit. Heads up to those who dont know... you cross m37 twice.
Newaygo county gem !! The hall to rent is awesome and the sledding hill is the best !!
It was too bad that they were closed for colwood 19. I still found a lot of helpful information that I was looking for outside in their brochure rack.
Great place to park and sleep in your car if you get to tired to drive any further.
