We have worked with the PM's over at New Concept Management and there was good communication and project scopes were clear. I would recommend working with NCM.
NCM is stuck in the dark ages. I need to make a payment but they can’t process a credit card. I need to go with cash, cheque for real???? or bank draft. Orrrr I can fill out a form on their website & they’ll add it to my Nov. condo fees. I also sent a video of my eaves drainage system failing miserably & asked to have it repaired. Kids ride their bikes over it, yard crews bang it up. It drains directly onto my front step. Was told it would be fixed when it stopped raining. Hottest summer in ages, stopped raining, no response, no fix. The pro is that the receptionist is nice. ‍
NCM has been very supportive of the needs of our condo board, has worked at finding many ways to keep our ongoing expenses at a minimum through researching and presenting options for the board to choose from in the areas of contracting required services for the efficient running of the condo corporation. We have always been kept informed of any changes to the legislation governing condominiums and of the requirements of our board to ensure we comply.
I had left a negative review for New Concept Management before I gave them the opportunity to fix the issue. Maria was a pleasure to deal with and she rectified the issue in a timely and professional manner.
I have been dealing with Maria and the New Concept team for over a decade..I am proud to say they are a fantastic group of professional and compassionate people..they have exemplified what it means to care about their clients needs as mine were met with kindness and caring unlike any company I have dealt with sadly I am moving on from my condominium..but I will always look to New Concept Management as the standard I would want from any company I would deal with..5 stars doesn't honestly seem like enough.. After two years of having ice inside our unit because of the old deteriorated windows and doors, the condo board has finally decided to hire someone to look into the problem. The condo board felt the need to remind tenants and owners that it is the owners responsibility to take care of hardware such as latches, hinges, and door knobs. The condo board then says that they are responsible for all doors, windows, and glass doors. They are also responsible for all casing, trim, moulding, and caulking. The condo board then proceeds to tell tenants and owners that "depending on what the issue is, the cost of repair may be charged back to the owner". After my experience with this company it is my belief that New Concept Management will do everything it can to charge the owners with the cost of repair, when it is in fact their responsibility. My window isn't broken, my door isn't broken. The caulking around my doors and windows hasn't been touched since 1970's, and I find it ridiculous that the condo board feels the need to tell owners that we may have to pay for repairs when the condo board has been aware of this since at least December of 2020. We have been sitting in our unit paying extra for our utilities over the past 2 winters because the condo board can't pay for their own responsibilities. Ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention i only received the email asking to send in proof that we need repairs on April 18th, and the deadline to send in "proof" is April 25th. Not even a full 7 business days hey? and over a long weekend? kind of feels like you don't want to fix anyone problems New concept management. Giving people a week? really? After multiple families have complained about this for months you give us a week? I'll ask my neighbour who rents his unit if he's even aware that we have an opportunity to fix our windows and doors and I'll get back to you. This company is ridiculous.
We have recently employed New Concept Management Inc. at our condo building and I have been nothing short of impressed by Maria's knowledge, leadership and support. She has willingly taken on the challenges as they have arisen and provided strategic direction. All staff I have dealt with have been professional and diligent and all third-party providers have added value to our property.
