New Cascadia Traditional- A dedicated gluten free bakery

Best gluten-free bakery in Portland. Thanks to this place I can now enjoy pizza (and bread!) again. Everything else I have tried tastes like cardboard. I'm not a sweets person but from what I understand they got that down too. Also the staff at the cafe are both friendly AND efficient. The atmosphere at the cafe is just as cute (hippie-esque) as you would expect. Right next door to the best Goodwill in town, so you can head over there after lunch for a true Portland experience.

This is a wonderful place with all things gluten free. A great place for some coffee and hanging out or for stocking up on loads of gluten free treats and snacks for a party or get together. The staff are friendly and welcoming and make your time there lovely.

One of my favorite gluten free bakeries in Portland! Their bread is absolutely fantastic and you can’t even tell that it is gluten free, their bagels in particular are delicious. My favorite thing is their cinnamon rolls. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, they have all kinds of foods and baked goods. Lovely atmosphere to sit down and eat and chat and relax, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating :) They also have vegan and dairy free options! Recommend this to everyone, gluten free or not!

The food here is pretty good. I would never have thought it was gluten free if I didn't already know. However, they REALLY need to get their act together regarding the whole restaurant experience. The restaurant is really poorly laid out (you guys gotta fix the situation with the double front door - get rid of one; trying to open two doors in two directions made me almost spill hot coffee on a child) and the service really leaves something to be desired. Everyone seems extremely frazzled - just trying to order food seemed to confuse everyone and trying to get my coffee (just a black coffee!) seemed to cause no end of trouble when the current pot ran out. Everyone is friendly but clearly they are not equipped in the slightest to be a cafe.

I bought GF cupcakes to take into work here. Didn't consume any of them myself but got great feedback from those who did. I'd up this rating if the ordering experience were swifter. They only had one person filling orders and processing payments during morning rush hour. I'd suggest one person taking orders, and one person processing payments in order to get us to work more swiftly.
