I frequently visit this restaurant with my family, and we always receive excellent service from such kind and welcoming staff. Today’s experience was especially outstanding. Our server, Aman, was incredibly attentive despite managing multiple tables. She took the time to walk us through the evening specials including pani puri as part of the buffet, and consistently checked in to make sure everything met our expectations.nnShe was patient, accommodating, and happy to answer all of our questions. One moment that really stood out was when I asked about gulab jamun for my daughter. Although it wasn’t part of the buffet that day, Aman kindly brought us a serving anyway, which we truly appreciated.nnHer service was exceptional and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Thank you, Aman, for going above and beyond we’ll definitely be back!
A Disappointing Experience at a New Asian Indian Restaurant -nMy husband and I were genuinely excited to try this Asian Indian restaurant. The ambience was inviting, the seating was comfortable, and the spread at the buffet looked promising — from gol gappe and chaat to a variety of curries and desserts. Our hopes were high.nnSadly, what followed was one of the most disappointing dining experiences we've had in a long time.nnWe worked our way through the buffet — goat curry, butter chicken, mushroom jalfrezi, veg pasta, and Amritsari fish — and each dish fell flat in its own way. The curries tasted as though boiled chicken and mutton had simply been dunked into a flavorless gravy. There was no depth, no warmth, no soul to the cooking. The Amritsari fish, a dish that should be crispy and golden, had batter that was completely raw inside. The pasta was bland. The mango custard was tasteless. The moong dal halwa — a dessert that should be rich and fragrant — tasted stale. Even the garlic naan missed the mark. Butter milk and golgappe were good!nnI want to be clear: I am someone who genuinely loves sharing positive experiences, and it takes a lot for me to write a critical review. But this felt important to share, especially for a restaurant still finding its footing.nnTo the management's credit, they graciously waived the buffet charges for one person — a kind gesture that did not go unnoticed.nThis isn't a complaint — it's heartfelt feedback, and I'm sharing it because I want this restaurant to succeed: 1. Revisit every recipe from scratch. Indian cuisine is built on layers of spice, technique, and love — the current versions don't reflect that.nn2. The owner should personally visit well-established Indian restaurants in the city to taste what authentic Indian food feels and tastes like.nnI'm attaching photos to give a clearer picture. I hope the team takes this in the spirit it's intended — as an opportunity to grow and truly do justice to a cuisine that deserves so much better.
My first visit to New Asian Village Restaurant today for lunch buffet.nWhen I entered the restaurant, I felt the atmosphere was so calm and mind-relaxing.nThe buffet was a reasonable price, and the food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the vegetable soup and a little bit of everything. I also enjoyed the salad buffet and dessert buffet. My favourite was gulab jamun. I would have loved it even more if it was a bit warm.nThere were three girls who were very friendly Rida, Simron, and Aman, and we received good service. All the staff were friendly, including the chefs.nSpecial thanks for the delicious masala tea.
Food variety and buffet options were decent, taste was good too, and the service was amazing! All the three lovely ladies Simran, Rida, & Aman made sure we were constantly attended to and had everything we needed! Thank you ladies and shout out to you for your hard work
The food was quite good. It definitely satisfied my craving for Indian food. The Chai cart was such a cute and, nice touch. The New decor was a nice refresh. However, next time I will sit away from the windows because in the winter it was a bit cold. The service was great and, we appreciated the small extras offered to us which helped us enjoy our meal even more. I loved the Gulab jamun for desert! Thank you
