It was our first time coming to this restaurant. The service was great. Food came quite fast. We ordered beef noodle soup, minced beef noodle, Taiwanese popcorn chicken and sweet potato ball. The popcorn chicken was excellent. Both the beef noodle soup and minced beef noodle were blend. The sweet potato ball was really chewy and spongy. I expected much better quality after reading so much positive reviews.
This new Taiwanese restaurant opened I think only a few months ago. The impression in the beginning is very positive. The interior is cute and cozy, but I'm wondering why there's only less than 5 tables. Are they mostly doing takeouts? The service is good and the food came out very fast. The food was overall pretty good. The guabao's bread was a little bit too soggy. Deep fried stinky tofy was pretty good and the sausage with sticky rice could go a little bit bigger. The other stuff were overall pretty good. I would recommend this place for sure. Not suitable for big groups. 4 people group max.
Wow! Blown away. The Taiwanese food here is amazing to the point of mouthwatering good. Hidden Gem alert for sure. Had takeout and tried the Signature Pork Belly Bao which was the best bao I have ever had. The Bao itself was larger than average and steamed perfectly, fluffy and soft. The pork belly chunks were thick with nice fatty layers and the flavor was so delicious. The fried tofu bao was equally as good with crispy fried tofu and garlicky pickled cabbage. Last, the Taiwanese sausage with sticky rice was just as good as eating it in Taiwan. The ingredients all tasted high quality and the portion was great. Packed with Taiwanese flavor. Highly recommend this place for Taiwanese eats.
We were pleasantly surprised. The food was really good. We had wonton soup, fried chicken steak with soup noodle, pork belly rice, pork belly bao and deep fried tofu. The flavours, presentation and the way the cooked the items were very Taiwanese. The wonton soup reminded me of a place in Hualien where I would get wonton soup. The only thing they can work on is the fried chicken steak. One side of the chicken steak was soaking in the oil in the paper lined basket it was served in. So it wasn't crispy on that side. Service was ok.
I tried the popcorn chicken rice, and my brother tried pork belly rice. The tastes are pretty delicious, worth the price. Also, the attitude of all the services is fantastic. I really suggest ppl to try the new place for Taiwanese food.
Used to be my daughter favourite place but not anymore. Couple of months ago she came here for a beverage. After ordering and paid for her drink, she was told that the drink was not available. Since she did not want anything else on the menu, she asked for a refund but were refused. At the end she was made to order something on the menu that she didn’t want with equal amount. I don’t see why you cannot refund her since you haven’t started preparing for anything. Shame on you to scam an underage pocket money.
Tasted great. Portion was good for the price. Only thing is that my friend waited a long time for his fish dish. Otherwise, pretty good.
This is a really nice and authentic Taiwanese restaurant!Every dish is delicious.Highly recommend the popcorn chicken.
Ordered popcorn chicken and pork belly rice as self pickup. The presentation of popcorn chicken is fabulous, received in large portion, meat tasted tender and juicy with inviting scent, hit right on the spot for me. The pork belly on rice, however, is somewhat less than my expectation. Bowl portion is kinda small, all veggies are either pickled or preserved, kinda cheap side on ingredients, even if that might be the style it supposed to made. Nothing special on the rice. Given the rising cost of living, it is understandable but not agreeable. Store closes on Wednesdays.
I've been here a couple of times and the food is quite inconsistent. Beef noodle soup is ok, fried tofu is ok, but the popcorn chicken is the worst I've ever had. The batter was way too thick for the chicken and i had to spit out the excess flour. The dish also came with the side flour batter bits that were flavorless. I also had the papaya milk and the papaya was definitely not ripe as the drink just tasted like milk... Won't be returning anytime soon.
