Classic diner experience. Food was really good today and the diner was busy with lunch traffic. What I ordered: 1 x Neptune Club w / Onion Rings What I liked: Fresh Quality Onion Rings really good and not too greasy. Service great service today. Overall, I would come back sometime for a shake and maybe a burger. Check it out!!
Amazing milkshakes! My favourite London restaurant to visit when I'm in the area. The Neptune Burger is great, but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The owner is fantastic, and for a larger city like London, it feels great to have the staff remember you between visits and ask how things are going.Food: 5/5
Even though the name is no longer princess diner, the food is still spectacular, especially the French fries. They are the best french fries and all of southwestern Ontario. The only downside was a mistake was made with no cheese on my sandwich. Easy mistake. No big deal and they ran out of cream for the coffee. Again still use the same. Great coffee. Just a small supplier issue. That being said, we were there a little late for breakfast but I would have ordered a western omelet anyways which is on their lunch menu. I had that with a Cherry Cola using the Mexican Cola. It was amazing! The sandwich was amazing. Once I got cheese put on it, bacon was thick and cooked perfectly. The new owners even though the name is changed it still is good as Prince Al's still has the atmosphere and the food is just out of this world Parking: There's no parking for the business per se, but there's lots of street parking free parking in city. Lots of your veteran have the veteran license plates.
This diner had a theme to it. It's is a space diner the food was good. It was also clean. But the diner could use some upgrades. The employees were helpful they are also very quiet. But, they would answer any your questions you may have. They also have lunch and dinner! They can use a dessert menu. I was hoping for some dessert.
The food was so delicious! The burger was exactly what I expected from a diner burger. The fries were also so good, fried to perfection. Definitely recommend!
LOVED my first time experience at Neptune! Definitely the best Tuesday night I’ve had in a while. The drag Queen show was so fun - I hope they do it again! The milkshake was delicious-the waitress said it was made with local London Ice cream Company ice cream. The Reuben was also really tasty. The restaurant was clean and service was friendly.
Located walking distance from Victoria Park, Neptune Diner is prominent and stands out among the other restaurants on the street as a revamped old school diner. The place is small and can seat up to 6-8 parties excluding the bar. The bar itself has seats for about 6 as well. Upon moment of entry, you'll find the atmosphere to be pretty on point. Retro space themed art lines the walls. Staff are courteous and they definitely know what they are doing. This place probably has the best milkshake in all of London. Made with real ice cream, they do not compromise on quality ingredients. Very surprised to find that they did this so, so well and it blew me away on how much better it is compared to many franchise chains. Parking in the area can be a problem but that's not unusual for downtown London.
A great diner with attention to detail. From the cute little cookie on top of chocolate banana milkshake to the fresh lettuce and pickles on the burgers. A great atmosphere and fun music but not too loud that you can’t have a conversation. You can also purchase Coca-Cola in small bottles which is really hard to find but tastes so good
Very tasty!! Simple old fashioned diner fare done extremely well. I had the chicken burger and it was delicious. My partner recommends the Neptune burger as well. Prices are fair, service is good, and food is delicious. Check it out!
Probably closer to a 2.5-3 star but it’s a new place starting out in a legendary location and the guy at the cash genuinely seemed to care about my thoughts. I will give it another try in a few weeks. The place is clean and the staff are very friendly and attentive. I had the turkey sandwich. They use thinly shaved turkey which they cook themselves on-site. It seemed as though most of the moisture evaporated from the turkey on the grill which made it a bit too chewy. The gravy they use is beef, presumably from a mix. I didn’t realize they used beef gravy and I guess I should of asked. It was plenty salty. As others mentioned, the fries are a bit nibblely. Bits and pieces, many under 3 cm long and some other odds and ends from the fryer. They mix sweet potato and regular fries and I think they mostly were cooked a little long. Anyway - definitely won’t do the turkey sandwich again but will give it another try. There are a few places in downtown London that are consistently a 4 or 5 out of 5 for all around $20 at lunch. Hopefully this place becomes one of them.
