Staff is very helpful. I got my Candy Girl skates here, as a first pair, and love them. It was a great suggestion and later found out that these are a good starter skate, so the staff seems to be knowledgeable in the sport.
Super awesome place with a really cool owner! They took good care of me and made the process of finding skates so much easier. It's my first year getting into rollerskating but I really love it so far! Go check them out; you won't regret it.
Amazing experience!! I went shopping today to grab my gear for a derby crash course, and despite knowing nothing I was made to feel so welcome! The customer service and professionalism I was met with made my visit so great, and now I feel ready and excited to to start roller derby!
Neon Skates is such an excellent resource for Ottawa's roller derby/skating community. As always, during my trip today they had exactly what I was looking for. The service is always very helpful, friendly, and super knowledgable. The new location is beautiful and the air conditioning was very appreciated. Many thanks to Neon for being such a gem.
After a terrible experience of buying the wrong size and style skate online, I was told by a teammate to go in to Neon Skates and have a professional check out my feet. I went in and they set me up with the right size skates in a style I'm more comfortable with. They were patient, knowing that I didn't know enough about my own needs yet, and they made stellar recommendations. I learned more about my gear, and now I'm so much more comfortable in my new skates with my ever-growing list of skills. I will literally never shop anywhere else for Derby Gear, and I can't recommend Dawn Cherry enough. Thanks, Neon Skates for saving my derby future!!
I visited the shop a few months ago to purchase my fresh meat package. The owner was so friendly, funny and helpful. I felt comfortable asking all my questions and she made sure I knew everything I needed to know before leaving the store. Great experience ! I live in New Brunswick but I visit Ottawa often and will wait to get there next time I need something.
Like a second home for roller skating and roller derby enthusiasts. Owner Dawn Cherry possesses a wealth of knowledge deeper than the Marianas trench and a heart twice as big. Employees are all happy to help you and work with vendors to make sure you find the roller-solution for all your needs.
The customer service is amazing! The lady was super friendly, detailed, and helped us a lot! Definitely a place to check out if you rollerskate, skateboard or longboard!
