Used them for a gym install. Returned the unused extra rigging and rubber flooring. Which I had cleared with them prior to purchase. They accepted the return and then NEVER gave us our money back easily $3k. Claiming we returned used equipment in its place. Then proceeded to hide every time I came in to speak with the management in person. Go to Kinetic Solutions, small family owned business. Great service and fair prices.
So we had a great experience at Fitness Depot. We went in knowing what we wanted to purchase and Chris Smith was great and helpful. We now have our equipment at home. I want to say thank you to Chris and his partner that delivered our new equipment. The city Plow had plowed huge ice boulders into our driveway and as my partner was trying to break it with an ice pick when Chris and his partner arrived with the delivery. They commented she would be at it all day. After the delivery my partner went outside to continue breaking the boulders and Chris and his partner had broken it all up for her. Many many thanks guys. You saved her time and her back. Wishing you all a Happy New Year
My wife purchased a treadmill from this company. Although the treadmill itself is great the delivery/installation was a bit of a nightmare. After 5?! times of having the delivery be rescheduled, we finally had them show up. It should be noted we took time off work to accommodate these failed delivery appointments. Installation went smooth enough, but they left all the packaging behind. The plastic strapping was just tossed at the end of the driveway.
Went in to take advantage of the Fitness Depots Black Friday sales. Advised that this is a franchisee store and no posted corporate sales are honoured and I’d need to drive from Ottawa to Mississauga to get the sale. I was offered approximately $50.00 off the workout bench I wanted - but if the company is not going to recognize posted sales I decided I have a lot of other options for this equipment. People were polite and aware of the issue but still not prepared to recognize that there is no caveats on their website. Be aware when considering Fitness Depot ads/sales. I have also written the corporate Headquarters. Regards
Great service every time i go - someone basically accompanies you through the store! It is more or less a hangar, so things are not always easy to find. And I find tge web site not terribly useful, as it does not seem to be up to date with the store itself.
We came here on Saturday and staff weren't helpful and the place is just DIRTY! When we return on Monday because they have the best deal for floor mates one of the gentlemen were actually the only one who was helpful, sorry I forgot his name. That's the reason why I gave 4 stars.
Fitness depot Ottawa sells low quality products at a premium price. They usually sell at a higher price than posted on their website. As an example I phoned them to confirm stock of Black Friday deals listed on their site and they did not honour any of the prices. Bumper plates listed at $1.30$/lb on the side but at their location it is $3/lb and same with other items. Do not recommend this company at all with all the other better choices available.
Outstanding customer service. Graham is knowledgeable - and honest! - he and Matt are terrifically friendly, and when things didn't work out as I'd misplanned, they were right there to help me out with alternate proposals - and generosity. t!
I went there today to buy dumbbells for my gym. The service left something to be desired, in way of condescending and uninterested attitude, but luckily for me I knew exactly what I was looking for, so I was in and out pretty fast. There is a vast selection of equipment in the store - they certainly earn the name "depot". The downside is that it doesn't seem particularly well organized or in any particular order so it can be hard to find things in the store. Having said that, I probably will go back if I have need of any more exercise equipment.
Great experience. The staff were super helpful, friendly, and professional. We didn't plan to buy anything and stayed for almost 2 hrs checking out all the equipment. We ended up buying a complete home gym and a treadmill. Highly recommended
