Nektar's Pizza & Greek Food

The Nektar’s Vegetarian Pizza is always loaded with healthy toppings, and his spanakopita is a very generous size and so authentic. Actually, all the meals are large portions - incl. the chicken souvlaki which is a fave with the kids. Our family has been ordering out from here for over a decade, and have never been disappointed. Nektar prides himself on quality food and happy customers - he’s a real gem to have in our community.

The pizza was good but the large Caesar Salad for $12 came in a container not even half full!

I would not recommend going here. Showed up right at opening time. Two fellas were sitting in the back, saw me walk in and stand at the counter, didn't get up, silence .. I asked if I could order and one guy said ya, and a few seconds later got up and slowly approached me. I ordered a Caesar salad and pita bread. He said come back in five min. I sat outside, five min passed. I saw the kid run to the grocery store and come back with a head of lettuce, presumably to make the Caesar salad. When I got the order, a little fly had been trapped in the Caesar salad and the lettuce was unwashed.

Decent food and value, I just hate ordering here and dealing with the attitude of the staff. Every time we order it’s like we’re annoying them. If you don’t like your job go do something else.

Ordered the prawn souvlaki. The prawns, bread, potatoe, rice, Greek salad was all excellent. However, the tzatziki sauce had way too much garlic in it. I like a little garlic but this was way over the top. Too bad because I love tzatziki sauce.

We recently moved the neighborhood and ordered from this restaurant. The pizza arrived after an hour and a half of wait we were told 60-70min. So let’s say, it’s Friday night and things get busy and it’s hard to give a correct estimate. But what really annoys me is that the pizza was obviously cooked at least 45 min ago, it looked like the pizza you eat when your guests are gone… I don’t want to give a 1 star review because I’m all for small business support, but when they screw up, they also need to know. We’ll give it another try in the next few weeks and if we get the same experience, we’ll give up with this place.

Food is very fresh and very good. Limited seating though. My baked ravioli was delicious. Yummm

I have loved this food for 30 years, but I fear Nektar's will fail if they don't wake up to the realities of business in the 21st century. If they opened their doors to the driving apps, their menu would be viewed by thousands more people daily. When it comes to food, few can compete with this restaurant. They could afford to hire more kitchen staff and this is crucial be in operation for more than 5hrs./day. They are loyal to their one driver, but someone needs to tell them that he would still be needed for their phone-in orders. As it is now, it's one of the least convenient places to order from, while still providing super nummy Cove eats.

Ive only tried their pizzas but i see people ordering other stuff all the time. Its our best pizza around. I recently finally convinced owner to put my capicolla on top so its crisps up like bacon. He was so stoked on the results when it came out of oven! Cool when you get that kind of reaction. He was reluctant to do it cuz it does shrink so it looks like hes cheaping out on what he puts down for you that way he told me. So dont whine if you ask for same lol. The sauce is flavourful the cheese is good and theyre quick at turning out your orders.
