The Broome County parks are very nice. Cole Park has a nice, small lake, canoes, kayaks, dog friendly and a sandy beach area, bathrooms and a small food pavilion.
Clean and well maintained trails to take your dog for a walk. Approximately 1.25 miles around the lake. Restrooms: Locked for the fall, porta potty available. Dog-friendliness: Dogs must be on a leash.
Great for young children. My kids were asking to go to the beach all of last week, so we planned a day at the park. They loved it! And the pond water was calm and cool. They splashed and swam with other children and had a great time. No cost to enter or park. Tables and grills are first-come-first-serve. Lifeguards were on duty and professional. And the bathrooms and locker rooms were decently clean.
Wife, pooch and I went for a nice fall walk here. Easy walk. Nice Hemlock forest our favorite spot. Broome County needs to replace facts on trail markers. Almost all have disappeared. Enjoyed ourselves.
This place is PHENOMENAL! This is a hidden beauty. Lots of area to picnic and swim. You can hike some trails or ride you bike. They have canoe and kayak rentals. Overall a wonderful place to spend the day with family and take in God's beautiful creation.
My family and I went to Cole Park after church Sunday. It was chilly bit nice. Kidd had a great time. People were friendly, college kids were respectful. I will visit there again.
This park is really nice. There are picnic tables with charcoal grills, a large swimming area, and a large pavilion to rent. No charge to get in the park and there are plenty of parking spaces. During the season they have a snack shack, swimming with lifeguards, and boat rentals. The lake is a nice place to take pictures or just go for a walk with great views. Playground: Fun playground for kids with swings, slides, and things to climb on. Restrooms: They have public bathrooms, not the best I've ever seen but they'll do. Picnic area: Plenty of picnic areas and you aren't right on top of the group next to you. Barbecue: Charcoal grill available.
My family and I had a blast building sandcastles, swimming and enjoying our BBQ!
Beautiful park with lots of amenities. Scores of tables and barbecue boxes... you would always be in shade because of abundant trees.
Lots of areas to swim! We have heard of kids getting sick from the water but I assume it’s if they swallow it! Lots of sand to play in and a nice trail!
