Nat's bread is the hands down the best bread around if you like a nice fermented flavor and not too much sweetness. The whole wheat sourdough with spent grains is a staple in my daily eggs and toast breakfast. My day would not be the same without it! The whole wheat sourdough is absolute perfection Other incredible products include the marbled Rye and pretzels! I have tried all local whole wheat sourdough producers and none can match Nat's flavor and quality.
Delicious breads with just enough chew and tasty bright flavours. Haven't tried a loaf here I didn't like - buttermilk potato is my partner's favourite we often buy at Seed to Sausage on Gladstone, in the summer months, but their white sourdough has the perfect tang! and then this beautiful marble rye I just tried see photo - who knew poppyseeds and rye went together are also perfect. Don't know about you but I always think when a bread doesn't NEED toasting, it's a good sign!
Hands down, best whole wheat sourdough I've ever had. I save the ends and make breadcrumbs every couple of months and these are also full of flavour. Nat's home delivery is reliable, efficient and a wonderful service if you are in their delivery area! Love this bakery to bits!!!
Best bread in Ottawa!!! Hard to find places that carry the bread now that the Parkdale Farmer's mrkt is closed for the winter. I ordered online for Xmas and picked it up from the bakery location. It was located a bit out of the way but I preferred it to a busy retail food shop.
Although I had heard of Nat's sour dough bread, I had never had a chance to try it until this past weekend. Nat was at the Kanata Market. I bought a loaf of the whole wheat sour dough, and cannot give enough accolades. It's a large loaf, heavy without being stodgy, a true example of a fine sour dough. And the price! I have paid much more for a loaf that didn't come close to Nat's. I am a convert.
Purchased my first loaf last Saturday. Amazing! I love sourdough bread and this one ranks with the best I have ever had. Creat crust, wonderful texture and rich flavors! Worth every penny and more!!
Heart shaped pretzels were so cute! Everything we've tried has been delicious. Nat was very responsive in emails, and ensured my order was ready for pick up bright and early to also fit in my schedule.
I picked up two loaves - one rye sourdough and the other is cinamon raisin bread. The rye sourdough is seriously old world, and the last time I ate bread like that was in Oslo Norway where they live off bread. Three thin slices of that and you feel like you've just had dinner! It's dense and flavourful - basically everything that the typical store bought North American loaf isn't. I love this kind of stuff, and I just hope that there is a sufficient audience for it in Ottawa to keep this going. The raisan bread is a breakfast treat or reasonably healthy snack or dessert, flavourful and not too sweet.
Hi! I bought your bread today at the Beechwood Farmers Market. Your sourdough bread is totally amazing, it was so hard to stop eating it, my friend also loved it! Can't wait to try the 4 grains! Next time, I'll have to try your rye and raisin breads, I heard the pretzels are amazing too
Nat’s Bread Co. really came through for us for a custom English muffins order- Nat was really awesome to order from, considerate of the “style” of bread we were trying to go for, and the result was fluffy, tasty, fresh deliciousness. We totally recommend ordering there for your baked good needs- we just reached out on their Facebook page messenger and she was quick to respond. We also had the option to pay via online invoice or in person. Thanks again, Nat! We will definitely be ordering again in the future.
