First time at Nando’s, food was very good. Ordered the Peri Chicken Tender bowl and I’d like to return to order other options. The ordering process was semi easy for a first timer. I did like the fact that one can order from a table and have the food delivered there. The one thing I did not like was how sticky the tables were hence docking of one star. It wasn’t just my table as another customer did speak out and requested for their table to be cleaned. There really were not many customers so no reason for tables to be sticky. I will return because of how good food was.
The pros are that the food is pretty good and the flavors are unique to most other places. The cons are that the serving size is ridiculously small. I typically don't finish my meals in most places but despite ordering an entrée with two sides and dessert I am still hungry after my meal. It's been a while since I ate here and their serving size is definitely smaller. I'm adding a picture and as you can see the chicken is only like half the size of the bun in their chicken burger. It's like a chicken tenders worth of meat. It's embarrassing that the fork dwarfs the food. I hate the ordering process. It was an easy process and I had no issues but I think it makes it a lesser experience to have to sit on your phone while you're out to dinner. Also you have to get everything yourself, your drink, sauces,napkins etc. Because you're ordering online you tip before you eat. I think tipping is important but honestly there's basically no service. The food is good but not so much better that I'd bother going back, I'd rather spend a little more and go somewhere that will fill me up or provide better service. Or alternatively get fast food for a better price and a larger serving size.
We usually go to the Oakbrook location but haven't had any great experiences there lately, so we decided to check out the Naperville location Instead. Glad we mad this choice, we were pleasantly surprised by how good the service was, everyone was so accommodating and it didn't feel like you were going to a chain restaurant. It felt like you were in a MA and PA shop; the way they paid attention to all the customers and went beyond what's expected of them. One of them even helped me placing the order manually at the register since it wasn't taking the gift cards I had on the browser. I can't quite explain it clearly, but I think they are under good management, and it shows. Even the manager was literally filling in to do everything, seating people, grilling, even sweeping at one point. Besides the great service, food was amazing. Decided to get the chicken wings instead of thr Platter that we usually get. This is probably going to be the only Nando's location I'll be going to from now on.
I eat mostly plant based foods, and my avacado bowl with arugula was very delicious. They do have a few vegetarian options for a chicken restaurant. The service was excellent, the lady who helped was very sweet and polite. Enjoyed our visit to this place from AZ. Vegetarian options: They have about 4 to 5 options in total.
Located in downtown Naperville ,Nandos does not disappoint . You order either thru their app or at the counter and they bring the food to you. I wish someone would have greeted us to explain how the ordering and seating works tho. They have limited indoor seating on the main floor. Upstairs was closed so not sure how much more seating might be available. If you have a large party you will have to push a few tables together on the main floor. Ordered the wing appetizer which consisted of 6 wings flame grilled basted with their medium sauce. Not too spicy..just right. Also had the quarter of a chicken that came with seasoned fries. Both plates had a Spicey ranch for dipping..yummy! They also have a garlic sauce and a lemon herb sauce which we dipped our fries in and both were excellent. We tried a side of roasted cauliflower with tumeric seasoning which was fantastic. They offer platters for larger groups..bowls..wraps and sandwiches. Beer and wine also available. If you are looking for an upscale casual dining experience..Peri Peri is the place to go.
i went to a nandos in dc and the flavors blew me away. i decided to try this restaurant closer to home and i was blown away again. the soda machine was broken but they fixed it with relative briskness. food was delectable always and absolutely worth the hour long drive down to naperville.
If you want to spice your taste buds ,Nando’s is the right place. We had the avocado&roasted pepper bowl and Peri-Peri Wings+ Brussels Sprouts. We ordered and chicken livers,which were good but way too spicy for the medium sauce we chose,next time we’ll try the less spicy option.
This casual dining spot is one of my favorite chicken joints. Their bird is grilled to perfection with deep in flavor even without the famous dipping sauces
It was the best Portuguese food I have eaten for a long time. The taste of chicken was great. The variety of sauces was exceptional. I liked the lemon and herb one s lot. The rice had a very nice touch of turmeric flavor; it was very much like a paella type rice.
