We pass by the area and had lunch in this restaurant. We ordered the unagi Don and also the set lunch. The unagi Don is generous but the sauce is really salty… so it’s an average quality in my opinion The set lunch , we picked the one that included “the best of everything” as per menu description. The fish is average and the beef is quite salty for my preference. This meal gives me the “average” impression.
We were recommended to try Mye 2, and we were not disappointed! It was so good that we came two days in a row from Cambridge! Everything was fresh and delicious. The Oh! Mye Roll was very very good! We went for lunch the first day and dinner the second.
Found this place on Google Maps while I was looking for places to eat between jobs. The plaza is a bit difficult to get into if you are coming down Trafalgar. Mye 2 has a traditional feel to it, the booths are comfy and it's not very noisy. I loved how by coincidence the placement of my mat was right underneath their ceiling light, creating a very photogenic composition to which I put my dishes under before taking a photo. I went to dine by myself for lunch around 1:30PM and since it wasn't busy I was able to be seated right away. I ordered a Ramen and it came with a salad, the salad was very good and the vinaigrette dressing was not too acidic. The ramen broth was delicious and very flavourful. The noodles weren't super long which I liked because it made it easier to put on the spoon before consuming. The black pepper added a bit of kick to the ramen as well. I was out by 2:30 as that is when they close for break. I would come back again to try another one of their lunch mains.
My family have been going to Mye for 26 years, sadly Mye 1 is closed now,it used to be "the" place if you want authentic Japanese sushi in Oakville. Mye 2 on Dundas and Trafalgar corner of the Longo's plaza has a calm and friendly atmosphere. Food quality is always good and menu's consistent which means a lot comfort to regular customers. Make sure to check if they are open before going, in case they are closed for staff holiday. Lucy and all other staff really deserve a good break now and then.
The restaurant is clean and quiet, well decorated and cozy, food as posted looks appetizing and taste delicious, all dishes are amazing except the beef which is a bit salty for me but good for my friend, so all good.and also the service is great, the girl is so nice, will bring my friends again next time.
Highly recommended Japanese food in Oakville by Dundas and Trafalgar. The food is just amazing , the staff thanks Jhoane! super friendly and the ambience is very inviting. Let me just say that unlike any other Japanese restaurant, they do not serve your usual cookie cutter salads or desserts. The salads that come with the dishes are just refreshing, the dressing just wakens up you palate. Its like waking them up and getting you ready for a tasty feast. Try the Mo's drunken Chicken for starters, tasty crunchy goodness. The Fried Calamari was the same, fresh and cooked perfectly, not rubbery and just melts in your mouth. I ordered the Ramen with Braised Pork Shoulder and i was happy i did. You can add 5 bucks for an extra slice of pork shoulder but trust me, the original serving is enough already. Also try the Salmon Skin handroll as it compliments the smoky flavor of the pork ramen. For dessert, try the Green Tea ice cream, it is made by them and not grocery bought like other restaurants. I wish they would sell them in pints....its really that good. The Creme Brule is to die for...served in both Matcha and regular custard flavor....with the latter having that zesty aftertaste. Highly recommended and definitely 5 out of 5 stars for me!
Came here on Sunday for dinner and loved the ambience and atmosphere of the restaurant. Our waitress, Viktorya was very nice, friendly and sociable !! Would here againFood: 4/5
Since the pandemic I have been ordering take out. The yakiniku is my favourite, but the other day I ordered the salmon. It was perfection. What I really like about this place is the owner and the staff. Very friendly and courteous service. I will eventually get back to dine in. Such a lovely atmosphere.

Went there this past Saturday for dinner. We arrived right when they opened and we were probably the first table of the night to place our order. Food was good especially the sashimi. After we finished the initial orders, we ordered a few more items. We waited for over an hour and finally just gave up since it was clear the food wasn't going to come anytime soon. In that time the waitress didn't even bother to check in with us. We had to flag her down to cancel our order and pay the bill. I get that it got busy but really? Not even a check-in or update? I wont bother going here anymore.
