We had a craving for sushi. Found this place. Absolutely fantastic! Definitely recommend this restaurant. Don't let the dining room decor fool you. Great service and the best salmon nigiri I've had.
Love the Chicken Teriyaki, it was well cooked and juicy. The home-made sauce hit the spot. Service was exceptional by the waiter and the Sushi Master.
What a treat to discover Mya Sushi. We were looking for a place to celebrate my son’s birthday, and were treated with great generosity. We asked the chef who was also our server for some recommendations and he brought out three rolls that were a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. Looking forward to coming back and trying more.
The service was stellar: prompt, attentive, and charismatic. The food was delicious and the menu has plenty of variety. It is great to find delicious sushi and highly recommend the ice cream as well! on this side of the river. Only reason I came close to giving a 4 instead of a 5 star rating is that the pricing was a bit higher than comparable places in the region. Were dishes just a buck or two cheaper each, I'd find myself wanting to go back far more often than we'll be able to. As it is currently priced, it'll have to remain a rarer treat.
The fish is always fresh and tasty, the restaurant is clean and spacious, and the owner is so kind and accommodating that he'd take the shirt off his back to help you. The menu includes many different options for anyone who doesn't like fish or seafood, perfect for when we show up with a group of friends! Whether we dine in or order takeout, this is our new favorite sushi spot! Thank you Mya Sushi!
Food, service, price and atmosphere is great. There could be more variety on the menu, but this is absolutely compensated by good sushi and friendly, respectful service. Be advised they no longer have lunch specials Nov, 2022 and there's no street parking in front.
I don’t understand all the great reviews but then again, the bar for sushi in Gatineau is quite low. I ordered two rollsone that did not have cucumber as an ingredient, and I added special instructions for the other roll to please remove the cucumber and salmon sashimi. The rolls both had cucumber, so I called the restaurant. They offered me a free meal the next day, which I appreciated. I was starving I waited 75 mins for this order while the waiting times on Uber eats said 25-40 so I tried to eat it anyway. I then realized that the sashimi was half frozen, so I did not eat it. I tried to pick at the rolls, but I did not find them good. I called twice now to let them know I am not interested in a free meal at this point, but nobody picked up, so I sought a refund on Uber eats.
Table was wobbly, plate was dirty, soy sauce bottle was sticky, I was the only one there and it took 15 minutes to give me a menu. Sashimi was still frozen. The scallop roll was good, and they gave ne another to make up for the frozen sashimi, but now this scallop was also frozen. I was treating myself to a sushi night and was sorely dissapointed. Probably wont come back.
I have been looking for a sushi spot that actually meets the mark in Gatineau for a while now, and I’m happy I found it. I ordered the “spicy dinner” something to that effect and some sashimi. The sushi and the sashimi were extremely fresh. The sashimi pieces are nice and big. Will definitely order from here again soon. Once thing is I wish they had a spicy salmon or spicy salmon nigiri if I missed it please let me know!
Just found this hidden gem, the service was unbelievably amazing, and the food was A1. highly recommend stopping by if ur in the area or making a trip down. Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had.
