A friend and I stopped by this place near closing time on a Saturday. They were very close to sold out of everything, which, the girl behind the counter said was their daily goal. They use no preservatives, and the cupcakes don't stay fresh for more than a day. Still, I got to try the salted caramel, chocolate birthday cake, eggnog, peanut butter chocolate pretzel, and several more! They were adorable and delicious! The frosting was creamy, light, and not at all overly sweet. Brought one home and my daughter had one, and proclaimed it to be "ridiculous!" as in amazingly good! I can't wait to go one morning when they first open, so I can see all the fun flavors.
Prices are a little higher than other places but quality and service are outstanding. Gluten free and vegan cupcakes are available. We couldn't pick out the regular from the gluten free and vegan. They all taste awesome, buttery, and moist.
What can I say about My Little Cupcake? Well, they offer the cutest, most delicious looking little confections I've seen around town. However, at $1.50 each for at most, a two bite cupcake, I'd skip the calories and the cost. I'm guessing a lot of labour and love goes into their little cupcakes, but to think in a recession, people are being coaxed into spending this much on baked goods turns my stomach. How about figuring out a way to lower the costs and do something better with that money. Makes me sick thinking we have people holding up signs 1/8 of a mile from their establishment saying "Anything Helps, Hungry" whilst their patrons snack on such an extravagant dessert.
One of my coworkers would bring these in every Friday. They were so good I had to go buy myself my own dozen! Which I quite literally ate every single one by the time I got out of my car 2 hours later. I make it a point now to stop every time I'm in Essex. They're absolutely scrumptious!
New to the area I decided to give this place a try. I was very disappointed overall. Picked up a dozen cupcakes for a friends Birthday who was visiting and I was embarrassed after I tasted the first bite. The shop is so well put together I just figured everything tasted like it looked which was amazing. Not the case at all..the cake was so dry and the frosting wasn't that good. I've been to another cupcake place in Williston and the quality is 100x. I wish I had asked for a sample or just bought one before I took the plunge. :
