Tasty eats. The buns are amazing but their other dishes are also a great option! Very happy with our experience. We would get everything again except the fried chicken. The curry was tasty as was the salad. Also appreciated they packing for the to-go some things we left to the side to add which added to the experience.
Delicious steamed buns, Osaka style! The filling is seasoned pork with onions. Every time I've ordered, the buns are still piping hot, steamy and juicy. Maybe the best steamed buns I've ever had. The horseradish mustard sauce that comes with them is also very strong and good! I look forward to trying more food from here. 10/10
Musu Osaka Buns is a hidden gem located in Etobicoke. Specializing in Osaka-Japanese Style Steamed Pork Buns, it was the first in Toronto and just recently open at Lockport Foodhall. If you are a Japanese food lover like me, you MUST TRY this authentic Butaman. This was my first time trying it out, as most of us always raving about sushi, ramen, gyoza, and takoyaki; but did you know that in Osaka, they have steamed pork buns⁉ It looks like a Chinese buns, but in a bigger size with a different herbs. They are SUPER DELICIOUS‼ Made fresh to order, light-fluffy white bun wrapped around juicy minced pork that mixed with onions. You can eat it with or without mustard. We really love how light and clean these buns are, and you can taste the quality of it! I’d say you need to eat at least 2 buns because it was SO GOOD that you’ll regret only having one. Yuko and Jonah are super friendly and very accommodating. And what makes their buns so special is their love and dedication to make the freshest possible Butaman. Aside of the pork buns, they also offer Japanese beef curry, Chicken-namnam, Tonjiru, etc. Check out their IG post for the full menu. Located in a cool concept, ghost kitchen in a virtual food hall - they are available to order through DoorDash, Ubereats, SkipTheDishes, or through the Food Hall website for pickup & delivery.
TORONTO’S FIRST OSAKA BUTAMAN This is a hidden gem and you’ll want to try out their Osaka-Japanese style steamed pork buns! They were light and fluffy with a flavourful pork filling. They also came with Karashi which is a type of Japanese mustard if you’re looking for that extra kick. Be careful though because a little goes a long way! It has the aroma of horseradish and tastes similar to wasabi! The buns go great with or without it, depending on your taste Besides soup, this is the next best thing to keep you warm and cozy on a cold day, and you can eat it on-the-go too! I received them in a hot, steamy box, so you better believe that they’re made FRESH to order! Get your share via @ubereats, DoorDash, Skip the Dishes, and Ritual. Pick up is also available. They are located in an area where you would least expect to find them, but don’t worry, follow the signs and be assured that they’re there!
Authentic butaman : I missed this flavour so much so glad to have them! Very affordable too. Wish it's a better location though
We ordered it by uber eats. My girlfriend told me about this restaurant and we tried their BUTAMAN! Actually I've tried butaman in Osaka Japan and it was amazing same as their butaman. I extremely recommend it I'll order it again soon.
Heard of this place through a friend. The butaman was definitely a hit! It is soft and fluffy, while inside is packed with flavour. The wagarashiJapanese mustard adds more color with its strong kick.
Wonderful steamed buns. Perfect dough to pork bun ratio. Very delicious when fresh. Very friendly front staff. Buns are very filling and 2-3 can fill a person up a good amount. Bun size is about size of average asian BBQ char-siu bun so it's a good size. Also ordered edamame beans. Store currently only accepts online orders rather than in-store ordering so order online in advance to minimize waiting upon pick up. Thank you Yuko!
The buns were large, very well made and had a large filling inside - very tasty! The Japanese mustard was very strong - do not make the mistake of taking a big whiff of it.
Saw this little gem of a place on BlogTO! Tried it for the first time today and wow!!! The butamen buns are super fresh and delicious. You actually get more pork filling than bun which I love. Very different from Chinese buns that I'm used to. The flavour of the pork filling is so savory and the meat was literally melting in my mouth with every bite. We also got the Edamame which was done very well. My husband and I were so satisfied that we are planning to go back again soon to buy the butamen buns for our family. Highly recommend! Thank you Yuko :.
