Absolutely amazing experience! We looked everywhere for the moose burger and thankfully they had it! It was sold out at all the other restaurants near by. You guys made my day!!! The server was very kind to us and kept checking in on us if everything was okay. I definitely recommend this place to everyone! Can’t wait to visit Newfoundland again for this place!
We went there tonight and had the Jiggs Dinner and Peri Peri mussels which we would definitely recommend. We also had the Spanish Calamari and Veggie Hash which was very tasty. Our server was so friendly and provided top notch service. We'll definitely be back. Two thumbs up!
It was a delightful found. We had Spanish Calamari, Baked scallops, Shrimp salad, amazing Newfoundland jigs style mussels enough styles for all palates and local draft beer. Good size dishes, reasonable price. I felt it was cooked just for us, so flavorful. We'll be back. Our server was very nice and helpful, more over we were there an hour before closing.
Got to sample the brand new menu here today! The menu selections were very well thought out. The food that I ordered was very well prepared. The taste, exquisite. The on tap beers were just lovely. The options to eat and drink would please any palate. The great food and drink, was surpassed by the service provided by the staff! Congratulations to the owners and management for considering all options and providing an excellent choice in St. John's for dining and the drink. If you have not yet been here you should put it on your short list. Awesome
We had the moose Bolognese and the Greek mussels, and both were *excellent*. Great service staff as well! We also had the rum'n'raisin bread pudding and the bakedapple cheesecake for dessert sorry, no pics - they didn't last long enough! and were both exceptional. Would definitely return.
If you’re looking to get mussels I recommend this place ! And if some people in your party don’t want mussels they have a good selection of other food too. Although I didn’t get mussels, everyone I was with ordered some and was happy with there meals. They were all good and dessert was lovely too.
Been wanting to try this place for a while. Finally did and was not disappointed. As a group we had Drunken Mussels, Peri Peri Mussels, Seal Poutine, Salt & Vinegar Fish Chips and Southern Fried Chicken. Every dish was very tasty and more than enough portion. The layout of the restaurant and the look and feel really promote a social experience. Our server... I believe his name was Michael sorry if I have it wrong was fantastic. His description of the seal poutine perfectly described what arrived at the table and the taste. Just an overall fantastic early evening out.
Interesting place. Diverse variety of mussel recipes and we tried two unique flavours. Service was excellent. Great beer selection including some local breweries. Would have liked the mussels to come to the table still steaming hot but they don’t have lids in the serving pots so they were less than hot. There are other choices on the menu if you are looking for something besides mussels and combo plates that include mussels. Would like to return to try some of these.
Best mussels I have ever had in my life. Went with a friend and as soon as we walked in the smells of mussels was delicious and we were seated promptly by a very nice waiter. Tried the Greek Mussels and the Shrimp Tacos plus the fries and can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised. Definitely recommend, super friendly staff and exceptionally delicious food. 10/10
A good selection for different types of mussels but the food itself wasn’t anything special. We waited nearly an hour for our food even though there were only 4 or 5 other tables in the entire restaurant. We ordered several appetizers including bread and seafood chowder and those alone took 45 minutes to be served. Only after asking our server why our food took so long, we were informed that the stock for the mussels were all made from scratch. This would have been nice to know ahead of time rather than keeping us hungry and also did not explain how bread and chowder could take so long to be served.
