Great place to play, practice, give lessons or take use on the trail. City of Muscatine Parks & Recs always make it look very presentable.
Well maintained fields make it enjoyable to watch the ball games. However, there are several negatives: 1. Parking is nothing short of chaotic. I don't know if it's the layout, the schedule, or both, but I've been in less congestion in downtown Chicago. 2. The bathrooms are in horrible condition and terrible locations. 3. Concessions prices are worse than movie theaters. 4. Bugs are so bad that their strength in numbers actually scare the birds away.
This is one place that I am torn about writing a review for. I've been there a few times and it is a beautiful place. The ballparks are very well taken care of as far as I can tell. The park itself is very nice. That being said.. the last time I was there, apparently the wind was blowing the wrong way. It took all I had to keep my lunch down while I waited for my boys to finish practice. I thought that they had some type of sewage backup problem in the park and then I realized that we were closer to the plant than I had thought and the wind was just blowing the wrong way on that day. So.... As long as you pay attention to which way the winds blowing ans plan your trip around that you should be okay.
If you're down here, it's for Baseball or Soccer, as there's nothing else going on. There's plenty of parking for all of the different fields. There are bathrooms, although I almost never see them open. The parking lot could use a little more maintenance though.
Fields are well maintained. Pleasant and peaceful environment. Lighting is outstanding when required.
Play ball, even if its raining. Large place, several ball diamonds and ample parking. Saw two concession stands with restrooms. Very clean place.
Great baseball / softball field. All fields all in one location. Parking is a bit difficult and the roadways are confusing. Could use more signs as to which field is which number
Such a great place for our community. Parking is abundant, bleachers at each field, the restroom I went to was clean...and the complex is just very accessible for someone like me with health problems & can't walk very far.
Has potential to be a nice park. You have to park eight by fields and it is a total gamble on hoping your car doesn't get hit by a foul ball. Fields are out of order a d a dinky sign at the entrance is all you have. Make sure to look the fields up if you are 15-17.
Our local sports complex for softball and baseball. Excellent fields, well tended. Great layout and parking. Two very nice snack buildings and outdoor drink machines. Well tended bathrooms. Many water fountains. Adjoining world-class soccer complex. Many shade and flowering trees. Very pretty body of water along north side of park.
