Story

Muddy's Pit BBQ opened in July 2010 in Keene Ontario. We authentically Barbeque all our meat on our custom outdoor smokers using only log hardwood. At our BBQ Shack you can also dine in or take your BBQ home. We also can supply large meat orders for your catering needs. Muddy's always has daily side dishes to go along with our Pork Back Ribs, Pulled Pork, and Beef Brisket. We also have daily specials from our outdoor pit. We are a seasonal business open from April to the end of December.

The best ribs I've ever had bar none! They have never failed to impress me with the flavour and the size of them. Well worth the drive to Keene to check this place out.

Everyone laughs at me for always getting the sausage (when there are so many other special meats available), but it's damn good sausage! I've tried others and it's all great. Salads are always interesting and tasty as well, and good beer on tap!

Eaten here lots. Only disappointed twice . Ribs were really thick and didn't get smoked enough. Got meat sampler that I didn't check before I left. And it was really dry and burnt. Neil wasn't there both times. Won't stop me from returning.

Rode my motorcycle almost 300 km from Pembroke On.to try this place and was not disappointed! Great roads, great little town (Keene), great atmosphere and great smoked meats! The smell is incredible and I started drooling before I switched off my bikes ignition! Had the sampler plate which had ribs, pulled pork, brisket and sausage with a jambalaya salad and a sweet tea for a reasonable price and could barely walk out of the place! The food was incredible as was the staff and the ride to and from Keene! Well worth the trip!

Best smoked brisket I have found in the region. It's worth the short drive from Peterborough or off the 401 to get some meat from here. They sell everything by the pound, like a deli, however you can still get a meal as they have buns and salads. The meats are full of flavour but not spicy (although hot sauce is at the table should you want to heat it up). Definitely go here at least once and I bet you will come back again!
