Riley's Pub

I throughly enjoy the food here, the service is excellent though on busy nights it can be terrible but I can't completely blame them because of how popular this restaurant is. I like every aspect of this restaurant from the food, decor, drinks and staff just except for the live music. They have talented musicians that play music almost every night till closing on the dining side of the restaurant. The music is great but the volume at which the music is set is not. I'm sure their music drives more business out then in. It's in incredibly difficult to have conversations with friends over food and drinks when you have to shout at each other when you literally sitting two inches apart. I've had many of my friends leave and seen other patrons leave on many occasions when the obnoxiously loud music starts to play through the restaurant's speakers. I love how they like to support local talent and musicians though, and the musicians that play are amazing, but when you can hear their acoustic strings vibrate inside your ear it makes your ears bleed a little. If you want a excellent time and dinner with your family and friends come here anytime before 9pm.

Nice place. Polite and courteous staff. Connected restaurant is decent as well. Dance club upstairs leaves a bit to be desired IMHO... (Although, i mostly go for the pool tables.)

Wonderful atmosphere. Fairly small venue but usually spots open. Live music nights can he kind of loud.

Tuesday night wing night has become something of a tradition for my friends and me. The staff here are always super friendly and helpful and the food is fantastic too. Can't ask for a better place to enjoy a night out.

I have been going to Riley's for almost a decade now and have yet to have one unsatisfactory aspect of any meal or drink. The staff are friendly and check your table often enough to be a convenience but not too much where it's an annoyance. The pool area is spacious and the equipment is well maintained so you're not playing pool on what looks like a golf green. Prices are fair and reflect the quality of food your are getting served. The only thing I don't enjoy is live music nights. The musicians are good but it seems way too loud (especially if you have a table right by where they setup). Easily avoidable by not sitting near the stage area on live music night. It's my wife and I's go to location for food in Peterborough and will continue to be.
