This beautiful camping space, within Kent woodland and orchards, is magical. It's so pretty and natural and eco-friendly, and run by a lovely family who go out of their way to make things great for people visiting. I camped in a tent, but the glamping is very tempting and looks super comfortable. The family helped me out in so many ways... with ice on a sprained wrist, fixing my damaged glasses ! and with great patience helped me take down my impossibly difficult pop-up tent! Laura also gave our group a wonderful tour of the medicinal herbs in the orchards and garden. Can't recommend it enough! My stay there, with the Guitar Social was wonderful!
Been camping here perhaps 4 or 5 times last few years. Big place. Can pitch a tent or rent a yurt or cabin in open areas or thick woodland. And bonus is open fires are allowed with pots, pans and grills supplied for open cooking. Toilets, showers and on tap hot water also onsite so you don't have to rough it too much. Run by a very friendly and helpful couple. Brilliant place, only complaint is it's a bit hard to find as the entrance is a bit hard to spot from the road. Thoroughly recommend
This is a lovely campsite with some very do-able walks aided by the owners' guided instructions which she will email to you I pitched in the open field which was great. Washing facilities are up to scratch and eco-friendly. You will need to arrive with food as not a lot of shops unless you have a car I didn't. Just a really nice vibe and not too many pitches.
We absolutely love camping here, the owners are so nice and helpful, the campsite is just beautiful. Always a lovely experience
Great eco facilities, very cozy accommodation, a true camping experience with a green footprint! The staff are very kind and incredibly helpful and it is very clear they care an amazing amount for the environment. It was my very first camping experience and I couldn't recommend it enough! I wish I never had to leave!
Warm and cosy accommodation, all the staff are genuinely very friendly. It's very peaceful but there's always something going on and something to do so it's the best of both worlds really. Great outdoor location, run by some of the friendliest people you'll meet. Couldn't recommend it enough :
Such a beautiful campsite, really lovely environment, very chilled out. Lots of excellent thoughtful provisions, staff are super nice and friendly. We stayed in a bell tent which was very well kitted out, and the pitches are large and partially secluded which is very nice. Our family loved it and will be back soon!
We were married at Welsummer in the stunning woods two years ago and the place is therefore very special to us. We returned for our anniversary weekend with kids and dog too to stay in the new woodland trailer this week and it's as beautiful as ever. Med and Laura are the best and I feel quite overwhelmed when we get to greet them and their lovely family as friends. They look after their guests so well and the return is friendly, happy guests sharing the same beautiful piece of Kent. The trailer is fantastic. Cosy, well stocked with the necessities for camping cooking and with unbeatable woodland views. You find random yoga sessions being held by campers, woodland shelter building, beautiful walks, bat spotting, impromptu badminton and football games happening and fire pits all round with marshmallow toasting on sticks from grubby faced kids and adults alike. It's camping perfection x
I have reviewed this beautiful, semi wild campsite before when we stayed in the one of the bell tents. This time we stayed in the The Trailer, a converted farm trailer. The area in which it is situated was surrounded by trees, keeping the temperature nice and cool. With the covered porch, the thunder and rain wasn't an issue it just meant that we couldn't cook our steaks over the fire.. A very relaxing few days.
Just returned after having a 3 night stay. Absolutely fantastic. Laura one of the owners met us on arrival and couldn't be more helpful. The facilities are clean and much better than we expected. The camp site is very well maintained and in an ideal location . We stayed at the Wendy House and had a great time. . The local pub Pepper Box is a lovely 30 mins walk through orchards, woods and fields. The food is very good and the Whitstable Bay Blonde is mmmmm. We shall certainly be returning. Thanks to Laura and Med for such a lovely stay
