Motel Royal Labarre

The front desk lady was really nice and friendly, and the room was really nice and the swimming pool was great! The upstairs view from the balcony was pretty awesome overlooks a sports high school field and the flowers on the balcony were nice. I liked the coffee machine too. The only bad part is that you can hear the nightclub music booming right beside the hotel and it really bothered me.

Service is outstanding. Our mattress was damaged so they gave us the opportunity to switch rooms or change the mattress, and they did. For a motel the facilities are good. It's a short drive to the city center. The shower had fantastic pressure. The basic room we stayed in had a huge balcony. Rooms are quite. We could not drink the water do to a e-coli contamination of the water supply. However this was a municipal issue that the motel could not be blamed for.

Super clean rooms and nice and quiet. No horror stories here. Staff was very helpful and provided an early check in. Had my room before noon. Nice clean pool and hot tub. Lots of green space. Hotel is dated but the room was recently renovated and super clean. Worth every dollar I spent.

It was okay, the room had cobwebs and looked somewhat clean. The water pressure and temperature was horrible, you either got boiling hot water or ice cold and maybe 60 seconds of average temperature. We paid more than we usually do for a hotel/motel and the price/service just don't cut it. I've stayed downtown MTL for less or slightly more for better Chrome, Delta, some hostels etc.

Pros: - Nice staff. We arrived at 09:30 am and they allowed us to check in early without an extra charge. - Decent room with new beds and clean sheets. - Keurig machine in the room. Cons: - The bathroom could use some work with better ventilation, removing the useless creepy drain in the middle of the floor, and fix the shower so you can't see through the dropped ceiling. - Side doors aren't locked, so anyone can walk into the building.

Room was not clean, fridge did not work, no whirlpool tub, only a stand up shower. Tried showering at 6 am, 7 pm and midnight and the water was either scalding hot or ice cold every and this changed every 25 - 30 seconds. 20" CRT TV, bathroom door in room 114 literally does not close and the pool was green. To make matters worse, the pice was also jacked up from the $80 showing online to $135, due to events in the area. Requested the sheets be changed and put a sugar packet under the sheets and blanket to see if they were changed... Surprise they were not. Complaints to management feel on deaf ears. The staff was wonderful and very friendly, however too little, too late. Well not be returning, ever.

If I could, I would rate them -1. The drawers are falling appart, the carpet was wet, the furniture are unsteady. The thing I hated the most were the employees, they are rude, they look like they don’t even want to work there. Moreover, it’s impossible to talk to a superior or a manager. Worst place I went to

Horable, just Horable. First I was told that I don't have a reservation then he offered room for $25 extra of what I already paid nonrefundable with Expedia. The carpet in the room was so dirty I wish I can attach a foto, anyways there is solution for that, I kept my shoes on but the smell in the room OMG, like I just entered a pig farm , the window is way too small to vent the room. The bathroom was clean but the shower cabin is made for midgets, so small that person can't turn inside, again, I wish I can attach a foto. I traveled 600km on a long weekend and had no chance to find a room eleswere so my weekend is ruined. Don't get fooled by the pictures and the name of this place , do not book a room here .

Google should provide us negative star as well.this motel does not deserve 0 star as well. Person who is working in night shift is very rude instead of doing his duties using Facebook. To provide a water in room is not his duties. He let us aware that what are the things which are part of his duties. It is good that don't provide a person in night as compared to provide a person like this..I suggest everyone that spend whole night in your car instead of going motel like this which provide a staff like this.

Not a bad hotel for 2 . I had a room with a king size bed, one LCD 32" tv with not so many interesting channels Videotron, a decent bathroom but not so well cleaned toilet. In rest everything was fine. I recommend it for emergency but not for long periods.
