Motel Idéal

Basic motel but very convenient. Has a large area for dogs to run! Dated but part of the charm and adventure. See it at night with its bright pink neon lights!

This is in NO way a five star hotel/motel. But they deserve a five star rating. So here allow me to explain my rating. Cheap, clean room right off of the highway. Cheaper than riveiere de loup and Mich cheaper than Edmunston. We paid 90$ for a room at the end of peak season 2017. The room was extremely well cared for. Yes it is all dated but if it works why thrown away. I love that attitude about this place. Modern Flat panel small TV in room. A fridge and such can also be arranged. We got an awesome microwave in ours. In any other hotel room I'd be worried about opening it. To be honest the thing looked like it was just unboxed and in prefect shape. Close to a mcds and gas station. Cheap box to stay in right off of the highway. The lady who runs the place is extremely accommodating. And worked with us and even seemed to tolerate my half arsed spoken french. They are French speaking. Little English. If your looking for a cheap clean place to stay with no worry about cleanliness or bugs than this is it. Dont expect the Ritz Carlton. Expect a well cared for room with great shower pressure as another reviewer noted. Support local businesses if you can. The bigger guys don't need your money. Families like this deserve ours and recognition for the care and effort that goes Into making a strip motel an enjoyable stay. simple box..off the highway motel. Well care and clean by a nice 50 year lady...a gòod slèep and go....

This motel was clean, but has no WiFi available. The price was ok.

Great discount motel, inexpensive. Very clean, has mini-fridge, microwave and airconditioner in room. Very dated, feels like you woke up in the 60s, but this almost feels intentional and adds to the motel's charm! Also in a convenient location right off the highway with gas station, convenience store and McDonald's in walking distance.
