Story

« Chemin Faisant », notre Auberge, située dans la ville de Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac au Bas-Saint-Laurent (anciennement Ville de Cabano) vous convie aux plaisirs d’une expérience de villégiature unique en son genre.

Auberge de 6 chambres, alliant le confort moderne et urbain, au cachet art déco des années ’50. Restaurant de 30 places, offrant une gastronomie régionale inégalée, ayant comme ultime objectif de faire vivre une expérience sensorielle à ses invités.

Notre mission en tant qu’aubergistes, est de vous faire vivre un rêve où le plaisir de la bouffe ne fait qu’un avec celui du vin, où la mélodie du piano évoque le bien-être et la convivialité, et où le confort de nos chambres côtoie le plaisir de la détente.

Voici donc notre responsabilité. La vôtre consiste seulement à nous faire confiance pour vous faire vivre ce rêve.

We spent one night here as a halfway stopover between Halifax and Ottawa and we couldn’t have been more thrilled. What a find! We stayed in the “La Verrière” room. It was well appointed, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely exquisite. Our hostess, Marine, was warm and welcoming and very patient with our rudimentary french. Our only regret was we were not able to enjoy the dinner service as the dining room is closed on Mondays. Highly recommended!!

This was a scheduled pit stop on our way to NB from Quebec City but we wish we had stayed longer! Because we were traveling on a Thursday we couldn’t partake in the gastronomic meal served on weekends. However we had the option to order a meal served to our room for $30/person. We were pleasantly surprised to get a 3 course meal prepared by the chef, Baptist! He used local ingredients and his wife Marine served us in the comfort of our room. We were traveling on a stormy winter day so we had the entire auberge to ourselves. Other treats were the use of the hot tub and a delicious full breakfast in the morning. We would definitely come here again!
Dinner was among the best ever. Each service tasted fabulous and was presented elegantly. Flavors were complex and satisfying. Service was outstanding. It was magic. It was an outstanding, rarely matched, never surpassed, experience in gourmet dining
Exceptional dinning/food experience, including incredible accompanying private import wines and spirits. Bravo to the Innkeepers!
