very convenient and a popular spot! one of two showers in the change room was down on my visit but would go back! sharing a shower ain’t always the worst lol
Today I met a wonderful person named Michael who works at Moss Park Arena. Michael went out of his way to return a stolen phone to me and truly restored my faith in humanity. A trustworthy gentleman if I ever met one!!! Thanks again Michael!!!
It's an old venue, but the ice surface is pretty good, the rink has a nice ambiance and a friendly women's league. Just wish that the water pressure would be better in the change rooms. It takes quite a while to fill up a water bottle! :- Small parking lot. There is usually parking on nearby streets.
Great ice. Room 5 and 6 are good size with 3 showers
i like this park. i played basketball here every wed. 8 to 10 pm. facility is clean very nice staff. but be carefull outside specially at night. a lot of drunk ang smoking weed always. 1 time i after i played i'm waiting for street car then black guy look at me like he wanna do something. then i ride the street car. he comes too. i saw knife in his hand. we are only 4 passenger at that time. this is not good. supposed to be i go yonge street. i go down on jarvis. f**king guy.
The arena is downtown, so it’s its biggest plus. However, it is a really old building and you feel it right away. The parking is very limited. There’s not much seating area inside if you want to watch skaters or hockey players. It’s also in a super sketchy neighbourhood, so we sometimes just make a run for the entrance, and they do try to prevent all that sketchiness from getting inside. There are plans for a new arena to be built, with underground parking. And fingers crossed the city cleans up the are a bit. It’s not pleasant to have kids activities next to junkies.
Beautiful kind people who love working with kids from all kind of walks
Great ice and great staff, reduced parking availability, and decent sharpening in the proshop. Cleaning could be better for my taste, but it's not too too bad. A great community place in all!
Although located in an interesting part of town, this arena is convenient and feels super local. The brothers who run the adult hockey school are awesome, helpful and kind. Feels almost nostalgic compared to the massive super arenas nowadays
I play softball here each Friday. It also has tennis courts which is usually quite busy. There are some sketchy folks that hang around but they are actually quite nice for the most part. Great to play late night softball as the lighting is fantastic.
